*This my cut of our trailer as I wanted to showcase our dancers and a snippet of the behind the scenes for my vision of the ballet which is a significant part of my story.*

Project Statement:

For several years, I have been passionately developing an original full-length feature screenplay that has evolved with me since 2017. I am thrilled to now (2025) have the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible choreographer and a talented ensemble of dancers who will bring our vibrant dance sequences to life. Our project will also feature original songs performed by a gifted artist, alongside an inspiring score composed by an innovative musician.
Once fully funded, I will be thrilled to share these beautiful pieces but till then we can only give you a glimpse with this trailer.
This artist-driven and passion-fueled initiative embodies the spirit of creativity and collaboration. Leveraging cutting-edge AI technology, I had the unique opportunity to realize my vision in this proof of concept with the goal as an animated feature that integrates hyper-realistic characters. We are excited to share our proof of concept video, which showcases our progress and artistic direction, as we seek to secure the necessary funding to bring this extraordinary story to fruition. Together, we aim to push the boundaries of storytelling and animation, creating an unforgettable cinematic experience.

I’m thrilled that we are getting such positive praise with our now “award winning” trailer. 🦋💜🩰

Executive producers and financiers are welcome to contact me directly.

Everything happening in the world around us in real time provides opportunities for a lesson or an opportunity to apply what we’ve learned.

From a book I recently read, A Resistance History of the United States by Tad Stoermer, for example, offers a tool kit in the back.
Principal # 6: “Ideas matter – know what you’re fighting for, not just what you’re against.”

“When government demands you violate your conscience, your first duty is to refuse.”

So please people, refuse to surrender your conscience!

My year-end reading list 📚✨ Some I started before work interrupted and I’m picking it back up;)
A couple of these are for my Antifa book club; the rest are just casual or soup for my soul:
Marilyn and Her Books — Gail Crowther
Chasing Beauty — Natalie Dykster
How to Stand Up to a Dictator — Maria Ressa
Oscar Charleston — Jeremy Beer
The Separation of Church and Hate — John Fugelsang
Democracy Awakening — Heather Cox Richardson
The Odyssey — translated by Emily Wilson and Robert Fagles
Archangels of Dreamland — Stephen Fawcett
I’m reading the two Odyssey translations in tandem, the others juggling as they call me—and adding more classics, including a favorite Jane Austen novel over the holidays. I love classic literature. I also love @elinhilderbrand and @harlancoben 📚

A very special experience shooting in the Indiana 1890’s historic ballpark where A League of Their Own was filmed.
Standing on the pitcher’s plate, I could almost imagine Geena Davis, Rosie O’Donnell, Madonna, Lori Petty, Megan Cavanagh, and Tom Hanks bringing this iconic story to life.
Being in the town, walking through the stadium, and feeling the history of the film was unforgettable. ⚾️🎬
Thanks Huntingburg!

Still reflecting on the magic of the 2026 Emmys. As a Television Academy member, it is a true honor to be active in this industry. While it’s wonderful to celebrate the nominees and winners, the real highlight is the energy in the room—being surrounded by so many like-minded creatives is the perfect reminder of why we do what we do.
Celebrating excellence in television is always a highlight, but the true value lies in the connection and creative spark shared among colleagues and friends! 🥂
Nothing but love and respect.

🐲some red carpet pics from an indi film premiere. @lotwhitedragon
Reflecting on an incredible night back in August at the premiere of Legend of the White Dragon. 🐉✨
It was such an honor to witness this film, which serves as a truly remarkable tribute to the legacy of Jason David Frank and the tremendous dedication to serving a film through to completion regardless the devastating crisis and obstacles. Having Jason Frank’s wife and daughter in attendance made the evening deeply moving; you could feel the love and respect in the room as everyone gathered to remember their friend.
The film itself is fantastic. As someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s on shows like Power Rangers, this movie perfectly captured that nostalgic vibe—from the storytelling beats and action to the incredible special effects and music.
A huge shout-out to my friend Ron Rogge, who delivered a stellar performance alongside such a talented cast! If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a must-watch.
Check out this movie featuring Jason David Frank and Cerina Vincent. 🎬 Buy to watch on YouTube

Finishing Tad Stoermer’s A Resistance History of the United States was so heavy, I had to step away just to let my system recalibrate. This wasn’t just reading; it was a painful, necessary unlearning.
For those of us raised on a sanitized, “patriotic” version of American history, Stoermer’s work is a profound disruption. It forces a confrontation with the reality that the “Land of the Free” narrative we were trained to protect was built on a foundation of omission. Resistance requires moving away from that optimistic conditioning and waking up to the institution’s patterns of enabling bad behavior.
There’s a heavy frustration in realizing that the “patriotism” we were taught was designed to maintain a myth and the status quo—serving the powers that be, rather than the true interest of the majority or “democracy.”
Seeing power seized today—“short on facts, long on rhetoric”—I’m still struck by how, in the modern age, we can remain so complicit, allowing such “blindness to historical truth” coming from the highest office in the land.
I was the student who earned good marks, made the honor roll, and held Beta Club achievements, yet every single chapter of this book introduced figures and systemic struggles that were entirely absent from my primary and high school education. This omission was intentional. It is a total failure by the system I was taught to trust; it isn’t just a knowledge gap, but a betrayal of the promise that education should provide a clear-eyed understanding of the world.
We must look at the toxic truths behind the “patriots” we were taught to worship and replace a hollow, heroic myth with the real, complex, and radical history. I am ashamed of the ignorance I was fed; but I am empowered by the agency I’ve reclaimed through knowledge.
@tad.stoermer provides a map for a complicated landscape -resistance is uncomfortable, yet it’s essential. True civic duty must be grounded in truth, not comfort.
Keep persevering! Read. Share. Ask questions. Cultivate a conscience and a strong backbone.

Little Mandy… circa 1979.
Lavender & Butterflies was born from the quiet corners of my childhood. It is a tapestry of ballet, music, art, and my secret spot in the woods near where my grandmother grew up. The homestead was next to their crystal mine. I still remember the mossy floor I laid there, ringed with stones from my own rock collection. This book is a tribute to those early wonders—I hope the feature film experience will be just as magical. 🦋 by @mandylfason
