Just before the BRICS Summit officially begins, we visited the BRICS Bazaar to explore traditional crafts and cultural treasures from BRICS member and partner countries.

I’m truly honored to have been invited by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Consulate General of India in Shanghai to be part of this special delegation visiting India.

It was such a special moment to cheer each other on with friends from different countries. 🌍✨

At the China pavilion, we also met an artist from Chengdu, who was showcasing the traditional art of bamboo weaving. It’s a proud moment to see Chinese culture being shared on this international stage. 🇨🇳

I also look forward to seeing more cultural and youth engagements between China and India in the future. 🇨🇳🇮🇳 @meaindia @indiainshanghai

MANDY’S MUSIC HOUSE Season Two Concludes Successfully | Enhancing Indian Classical Music & Cross-Cultural Exchange

Following the success of last year’s China tour featuring an Indian sitar artist, Mandy’s Music House proudly launched its second season this summer by inviting acclaimed bansuri artist Rajat Prasanna, coming from one of the most respected Prasanna musical lineage, for a three-week China tour featuring concerts, workshops, and cultural exchange programs.

The project traveled through Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, and Hebei, presenting five concerts and two workshops, with every event completely SOLD OUT.

The enthusiastic response from audiences once again demonstrates the growing appreciation of Indian classical music in China and encourages us to continue building meaningful cultural dialogue through music.

Our heartfelt special thanks to Mr. Pratik Mathur, Consul General of India in Shanghai; Unintended music platform; Mr. Bivash Mukherjee of Shanghai Daily; and all of our long-time partners, friends, and supporters for their invaluable contributions to the planning, promotion, and successful realization of this cultural exchange project.

About MANDY’S MUSIC HOUSE

Founded in 2025 by Chinese tabla artist Mandy Chen, Mandy’s Music House is an independent cultural platform dedicated to promoting Indian classical music and fostering international artistic exchange.

The platform regularly invites outstanding Indian classical musicians to China to collaborate with local artists, cultural institutions, and performance venues through concerts, workshops, masterclasses, and interdisciplinary productions.

Although Season Two has successfully concluded, this is only another milestone in our journey. We look forward to welcoming more outstanding artists and audiences in the seasons ahead.

India — More Than One Story 🇮🇳

Having visited India many times, I’ve learned that no single visit can tell you what India really is.

This time, I saw a country where ancient traditions and modern ambitions exist side by side.

From historic monuments and international gatherings to vibrant streets and quiet coastal life, every place revealed a different side of India.

I watched centuries-old art forms come alive, heard the rhythms of traditional drums, and experienced the simple beauty of everyday life in Kerala.

I also met young people from around the world, sharing laughter, cultures, and perspectives.

The more I see of India, the more I realize that understanding a country takes more than looking at its landmarks or reading its headlines.

Sometimes, you have to slow down, look closer, and experience it for yourself.

Because India is more than one story.

And I’m still discovering mine.
