The aurora skies through the trees. I did not get the lime green “raining” streaks, though the colors were pretty through my camera lens. . #northernlights #justlookup by @manise2

Strawflowers from the deck planters that I rescued 4 weeks ago from the deck. I trimmed the stems and placed them in this clam shell. Some of the blooms have started turning themselves inside out and losing their color. This is the first year growing them and I love them. There will be more next year. #strawflowers by @manise2

Several weeks ago @azurefarm Annette posted a video on the making of marigold vinegar. I had lots and lots of marigold blooms about to be bitten by frost, so I gave it a whirl! 2 weeks of steeping in a dark pantry and voila! Isn’t it pretty?! As promised it has a lovely tangy citrusy flavor. #makingstuffisfun #vinegar #marigolds by @manise2

My only dahlia gifted to me and planted ridiculously late is now blooming. Ten more buds are in various stages of development and opening. I just want to swim in this color. #flowersofinstagram #dahlias #lovegrowingflowers by @manise2

Here we go again. Torrential rain, booming thunder, and lightening. Thunder shirt on Daisy and full kongs for both pups to distract themselves with. #stopslready #nomorerain by @manise2

Weather forecasters last night. There may be a brief passing thunderstorm north of us. Lies. Severe thunderstorm with hail. My poor plants do not need hail! Gah. (My apologies to those who are still waiting for rain.) Thundershirt on my youngest pup. #newenglandweather #thunderstorms #hail #pleasestop #sodonewithrain by @manise2
