Congrats to dionnepotapinski and @dhrichis on grabbing the gold medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships🥇🌎 ~ Lots of work ahead of us still, but a great step in the right direction. I’m very proud of their ability to remain positive throughout the process and maintaining a champion mindset despite challenges thrown their way. We are all role models to the community, so how we carry ourselves matters and these 2 exemplify that champion mindset. ~ Onwards to the next one 🌎 ~ @2026commonwealthpowerlifting @manitobapowerlifting @kornerstonebarbell by @manitobapowerlifting

David Hrynkow, October 4th, 1964 to August 20th, 2026. After a short and hard fought battle with an aggressive form of cancer, David has left this world/earth. David was a well loved and respected member of the Manitoba Powerlifting Association, serving on the board as treasurer and as a MPA referee for many years. David was the consummate volunteer and you would see him at every meet. He did extremely well in all of his many powerlifting competitions all around the world, collecting numerous awards as well as numerous friends. He will be truly and deeply missed. A funeral service and reception will be held Sunday August 30th at 2:00PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery 4000 Portage Avenue. All are welcome. by @manitobapowerlifting
