Morning workout before work.
Was supposed to do first top set for 6 but I think counting in the morning is not my forte😅😅.

255x5 then 225x6x3

Still sick. Bench felt way harder than it should. And trying sling shot to over load for a couple of reps.

Still sick AF, testing max squats for RPE 10 was not a good idea. Plan was 440x6 , only managed 4 reps and almost passed out from dizziness.

@deadliftdiva01 @iron_fitness_inc we need the reverse hyper machine , please.

Shoutout to all my athletes (+Craig who I had the pleasure of handling for the day) at Westerns Regionals for Powerlifting at the beginning of October.

I’m so proud of you all - you guys work so hard and it’s great to see it pay off.

Aileen: +5kg (11lbs) PR on DL and a 7.5kg (16.5lbs) total PR, at her lowest natural bodyweight yet - no water cut.

She also won her class 🥇

@zen_with_aileen

Craig - not my client but he matched his best squat, got a bench PR and ALMOST a total PR on his last DL (soooo close) . @craigroberts391

Super fun to kindof help out a little with that - although he’s the one doing all the things I just got to hold his headphones while he went out there haha. He also got 🥈!

Perri - No PR’s but she had a great time. She HAS gotten stronger based on what she’s done in training, and we both know that. Now we get to go back to the drawing board which is my favourite part 🤓

Secured 🥇 @prairieblondie

Stan - +2.5 (5.5lbs) Squat PR

Also secured 3rd place in his weight class 🥉

Next time he’s gonna eat some pie and hit all the PR’s 😈 @stansiemens

Rick - After a massive random back injury that took him out for months, he ended with a squat AND bench PR (2.5kg /5.5lbs each), and added a total of 2.5kg to his overall total.

He also got to battle against Brent on Deadlifts a little which was fun . @rtdedominicis

He secured 2nd place in his class 🥈

Brent - He will tell you it was his worst meet ever … He did get a little win and secured 🥇in his class though.

I’m just happy he showed up and tried his best with what he had that day. Sometimes that’s all you can do.

I love getting to experience new challenges with people. I feel like a better coach for it. Every meet it’s something new.

This meet I handled a new person who wasn’t my client. I also handled a client who was competing with me for the first time but had a lot of previous experience with competing himself. I ALSO had the busiest session of my life to date (I feel like I’m ready for anything now lol) with 4 people competing at the same time on 2 different platforms in 2 different flights, and the warmup area was in 2 different rooms. I used to get nervous

Still sick so went to get a PR, didnt work . Did 555x1 rep twice then down to 500x5 then 405x5. Goal was 555x5.

But felt for a little bit of the day that I can breath.
