Hi remember me? Once upon a time I believed nobody would remember me if I disappeared. What an awful feeling…September is suicide awareness month. Ive talk a lot about this and I am so grateful to everyone who has reach out and shared their stories and to those who have donated. Together we have now been able to help so many ppl. This Thursday September 10th I am walking with @lifelineaustralia for the Out Of The Shadows walj for suicide prevention day. This is near snd dear to my heart. I’m walking for my Niece Nicole and Nephew Marcus who I lost two years apart. I am walking for friends I have lost along the way, friends and family that have been shared with me from others and I carry them all with me one this day. I pledged 9kms but due to the beautiful donations I will be walking 21.1km. I would be happy to up that distance if we can gain a few more donations but my goal is to create awareness just as much as the donations. Thank you to those who were able and have kindly donated…we are now able to help 14 people reach help!!! Lifeline Australia receives a phone call every 29 seconds…it’s seems unfathomable but we lose 9 ppl a day. So let’s keep the conversations open. One of my goals is supporting those who are in need and those who have lost in the aftermath as well. As a community we can do this. Thank you all for the support. Today kicked me in the 🥜….Normally I’d like to run and hide but today I chose a different path. I chose me. I chose to reach out to other likeminded women who are empowering. Hiding away is okay too, finding your safe Space if that’s what it needs is Okay! I missed my girls birthday… 😔 I was coming off a bad stomach flu and it’s no excuse because she is so deserving of a celebration everyday but definitely on her special day. So happy 7th Birthday Presley. I’m so grateful to be blessed with amazing animals in my life but Presleys story is so special. She was dumped in the middle of nowhere, when they contact the owners they said they didn’t want her. She had to have been out for such a long time because she was skin and bones when she was found. I had lost Sassy suddenly from a tumour and Bubba was so sad. So I started looking. I saw Presley I adored her but I wasn’t quite ready and thought she’d be gone. So when I went to see a kitten I still asked about her…I was told “look down Shes sitting at your feet” @sallyscatnkittenrescue but I wasn’t sure if Bubba might like a younger kitten…I went to visit to see a kitten but Presley followed me around and honest I just knew she was mine. She was born the same year and date I had adopted Sassy at 10 weeks old. I couldn’t believe it. But the paperwork doesn’t lie I didn’t even know until I got home and read the details. It was meant to be. It took one day for them to become friends (I tried to keep them apart to acclimate properly, they weren’t having it) within 20 mins of being home she never left my side and never has since. My love of Maple Syrup knows no bounds…So when I was generously gifted a can of Pure Canadian Maple Syrup imported by @my_canadianpantry I knew I had to try something special! I decided to elevate a good ol’ classic pancakes with some homemade maple syrup cream cheese frosting…and then topped with more maple syrup. Thank you to the kind customer today (when I was at work and at Xmas overload had hit me) came back to tell me how amazing my customer service was on Sunday and brought me a birthday chocolate.
