Probably should be posting all about pumpkins right now but I had to take a minute to appreciate the endless summer we had this year. And I also had to recreate this pool shot with BOTH my girls πŸ₯Ή And besides, this pool was everything in the many heat waves and was the reason I wasn’t a bit mad about them πŸ˜… Can you also tell one of the flamingos has absolutely had it and wouldn’t even stay inflated long enough for the picture?! 🫣 The other one thankfully kept me afloat but is also suffering from a major puncture πŸ₯΄ Until next year ✌🏻 by @mapleandgrey

I was highly motivated to clean and tidy the house this week. But due to unexpected sun for the past two days I’ve been outside painting chairs instead. Because I can clean when it’s raining πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’m so happy to get these outside maintenance chores done while it’s still warm and as a result the garden is looking great. But the house? Not so much 🫣 by @mapleandgrey

This summer has been the gift that keeps on giving 🏝️It’s almost October and I haven’t even felt that chill in the air yet. Three weekends ago we were on the beach and it was the perfect day. Not too hot, a slight breeze, not too cold and so quiet. I’m not sure I’m ready for cozy season just yet 😳 by @mapleandgrey

Tuesday but feels like Monday. I need to declutter but I’m too tired. I feel like reorganising but I can’t be bothered. And honestly that’s been the vibe lately and this is when I appreciate my homemaking friends. I had this tray sat for weeks waiting to be styled but lacked the inspiration. So I messaged my friend @the_martinmanor and she accepted the challenge. I pulled these items from the house, cut some limelights from outside, followed Kimmie’s styling instructions and voila ✨And best of all it turned out so well and I barely had to use my brain πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ by @mapleandgrey

I don’t know where August went, let alone the fact that we’re almost halfway through September 😳 Just about made it to the lavender farm after it had all been cut 🫣 But we managed to find a few sprigs left and celebrated the fact we made it out of the house πŸ˜† by @mapleandgrey

Happy Monday! 🌼 I needed a little break from my life last week so I took 5 minutes to throw some faux stems on this shelf. I thought daisy season was over but happily I still have some popping up at random in the garden πŸ₯° by @mapleandgrey

Came home from camping and spent a lot of my week off finally getting this long awaited dolls house finished. And it’s not quite but we’ve made so much progress and here’s a sneak peek! And I’m a little bit obsessed. I can’t decide whether my favourite details are the wallpaper, the scallops or the roof shingles. Don’t ask me how I’m going to find Barbie scale furniture to complete it either because so far it’s been hard to come by 🫣 by @mapleandgrey

We got back from a little camping break last week and it was so good. Number one because Hampshire is my happy place and number two because I needed to get away. There is nothing like truly unplugging and living in nature for a few days. Plus there wasn’t a cloud in the sky {old photo here} and it truly felt like we were in the south of France 🏝️ by @mapleandgrey

Trying to show more rooms in the house so let’s start with this one. Because life lately has honestly been living from one meltdown to the next so sharing my toilet just works 🫣 But my cloakroom {powder room} is clean 🫧Want to know my secret?! It’s currently locked until further notice so no one can use it πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚ by @mapleandgrey

Welcome to a new series of what I did since I went back to work. Which in reality has been two months of little to note but here we are anyway. Number one: moved my lu lu girl into the nursery a whole month ago now πŸ₯° Dragged my heels with that one and she broke the record for longest time in our room. I was sad obviously but I’m also happy to have some space back as I simultaneously try and adjust to a new, slightly crazier routine πŸ₯΄ by @mapleandgrey

It’s been a while πŸ˜… Life just seems to have gone nuts the past few weeks and I haven’t had a single minute 🫠 It’s been work, life admin, cleaning and tidying and not a lot else 😳 Then most of England shut down for a few days because the sun came out β˜€οΈ I also briefly enjoyed not one but two bunches of peonies which turned out to be white. Not sure if that’s a thing or if they were less pink this year but they were pretty all the same. So here’s to making time for some creativity once again because I miss it 🀍 by @mapleandgrey

Well that’s it 🩷 Almost a year to the day that this photo was taken I went back to work. What a year! Not long. Not short. Just a year that I knew would be over before I knew it. Quiet and busy all at the same time and just wonderful. I’m already craving that time and it’s only been two weeks πŸ˜… Life has hit another level of juggling and time that was my own to be at home was such a gift πŸŽ€ by @mapleandgrey
