So, it’s been a long journey trying to find the perfect pooja mandir in Canada. Trust me, in Ottawa, the options are quite limited in Indian stores and often expensive. Even the upper layer of the mandir also tend to be silverish, which might fade over time.

One day, while scrolling through my Instagram feed, I had an idea. We decided to visit @ikeacanada and found a crockery unit that looked just right. Though there were many options, we wanted something short and sweet. We loved it and transformed it into our favorite corner of the home, turning a simple piece into a beautiful pooja mandir🌸🙏🏼

1. When it’s just the two of you in a new place, every little thing—from setting up the Wi-Fi to grocery shopping—becomes a shared mission. You learn to rely on each other in ways you never thought about before.
2. You realize how different life is outside the bubble you grew up in. Living abroad opens your eyes to new ways of thinking, living, and even small things like how people celebrate or cook. It changes you.
3. There are days when things go completely wrong—like getting lost, language barriers, or unexpected expenses—but those moments force you to adapt, laugh, and grow together.
4. You see each other at your best and worst, especially when life gets uncomfortable. But that’s when you learn how to truly be a team, lifting each other up and finding joy even in the hard days.

Buying our first home taught us how important it is to do your research before booking those showings! 🏡

If you’re planning to buy a home in Ontario, @the_canadian_home has a section where you can explore homes currently listed below their last sold price and compare the prices to understand the market better.

Something we wish we had known during our own home search! 🤍

Explore @the_canadian_home official page for more details and check the link in our bio!

May every daughter get to experience this feeling at least once… having her parents beside her in the home and life she built so far away from them❤️

Hosting our baby shower meant bringing all our favourite people together, and of course, good food was a must🤍

We got our pizzas from @popularpizzaottawa and it was such an easy way to take care of food for everyone while we enjoyed our special day🥹

If you’re planning a celebration, family gathering or get-together, definitely keep their catering services in mind! 🍕✨

75 minutes, multiple doors, endless clues, and a race against time!

Tried the escape room experience at @trappedottawa with our friends last weekend, and let’s just say… teamwork hits differently when the clock is ticking! 👀

Adding this one to your Ottawa bucket list! 🤍

You don’t have to go far for it to become a memory you’ll hold onto forever🤍

Maybe it was just a little trip, but someday we’ll look back and realize this was our last one as just the two of us.

Our last trip before our little world changes forever🥹

And honestly, I don’t think we’ll ever look at these moments the same way again.
