The Oman Desert Marathon family mourns the loss of Nadhira Al Harthy, the first Omani woman to summit Everest, following the avalanche on Broad Peak.

Her courage inspired adventurers across Oman and beyond to go past their fears and chase their own summits. A brave soul with a kind heart.

Our deepest condolences to her family, her teammates, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace. by @marathonoman

This World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, we’re celebrating deserts and rangelands as vast, living landscapes.

Every step across the sand offers an opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate its resilience.

Together with our member, Oman Desert Marathon, we want to show how sport can connect us with these fragile ecosystems and encourage action to protect and restore them for all future generations. by @marathonoman

Oman has long been one of the most stable and diplomatically active countries in the Middle East ,a consistent voice for dialogue and neutrality. A friend to all, enemy to none. That role has not changed.

We are aware of the current situation in the region and we take it seriously. ODM has always put the safety and confidence of our runners first, and that remains true today. We are monitoring developments closely and will reach out to you directly when registrations open.

The desert will be ready. We look forward to seeing you there.

Every woman who laces up and steps onto a trail makes the trail bigger for the next one. June 1 is Women's Trail Day, a global initiative by @itra_trail InternationalTrailRunning Association to bring more women to the trails. At ODM, we want to see more women out there, at every level and every pace. Whether you walk, hike, or run, this is about moving together, connecting with the land, and discovering nature one step at a time.

Connect! Move! Run! Hike!

See you in the desert. 🏜️

Oman Desert Marathon has officially joined the Sports for Nature Framework, strengthening its commitment to protecting the native biodiversity connected to the race.

«The desert isn’t only our race scenery, it’s home to extraordinary wildlife, ancient communities and landscapes that deserve far more than our footprints,» said Rigel Cedeño Gamarra, Oman Desert Marathon PM.

We’re proud to have another important voice helping build momentum for nature-positive sport.

We are proud to share that our runner from Italy, Mario Lupano, has written a powerful firsthand account of his experience at the Oman Desert Marathon, and it's featured in Issue 02 of @4runningmag Magazine

Mario, a 25-year mountain running veteran, stepped out of his comfort zone and into one of the world's most demanding desert races, finishing on the shores of the Arabian Sea. His article doesn't just describe the race. It captures the silence, the fear, the joy, the errors, and the hard-won wisdom that only the desert can teach you.

A great read for anyone passionate about endurance, adventure, and the kind of racing that strips everything back to its essence.

🚨 Feeling inspired? Registrations for the next edition of the Oman Desert Marathon are opening soon.

FUELED AROUND THE WORLD 🤙
Stage after stage, country after country. One thing is always in my bag: Fast Hydration von @dextroenergy_de
