L’équipe menée par Marc Mimram Architecture et Ingénierie est attributaire de l’appel d’offre pour la rénovation et l’extension d’un monument historique : la piscine du @grugabadfreunde à Essen / @stadt_essen (Allemagne) La première phase vise à redonner vie aux zones existantes et à améliorer l’accès grâce à une nouvelle entrée connectée aux transports en commun. La deuxième phase, encore à valider politiquement, prévoit la couverture d’un bassin. Depuis sa livraison en 2018, ses 5 000 places vibrent chaque printemps au rythme des plus grands joueurs et joueuses du tennis mondial. 🎾 🏆 Tucked away in the heart of the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil, the Simonne-Mathieu Court – often referred to as the Court of the Greenhouses – comes alive once again for the tennis tournament! Since its inauguration in 2018, this 5,000-seat arena has echoed each spring with the energy of the world’s top tennis players. Son architecture singulière, ceinturée par quatre serres tropicales, en fait bien plus qu’un simple terrain : le court est un lieu de conservation botanique ouvert au public toute l’année avant de redevenir un lieu de spectacle et de performance sportive de haut niveau le temps du tournoi. Surrounded by four tropical greenhouses, its singular architecture makes it much more than just a tennis court: it serves as a year-round botanical conservatory open to the public, before transforming into a stage for high-level performance and spectacle during the tournament. Ce projet, tout comme le Centre National d’Entraînement de Tennis livré en 2015, réalisé par Marc Mimram Architecture & Ingénierie, participe pleinement au rayonnement du tennis international ainsi qu’à l’âme singulière de ce lieu. Notre expérience et notre savoir-faire en qualité d’architectes et d’ingénieurs, nous a permis de développer, à partir de l’infrastructure, des projets qui se libèrent des contraintes pour offrir des situations urbaines ou territoriales très généreuses : A Paris, dans la ville historique, un balcon sur le fleuve A Rabat, un espace public protégé par le toit constitué par la sous-face de l’ouvrage A Tianjin, une structure emblématique révélatrice du paysage L’ouvrage d’art toujours magnifie les conditions de site et offre à tous des lieux appropriables. Drawing on our dual expertise as architects and engineers, we have developed projects that emerge from infrastructure and transcend technical constraints to create generous and meaningful urban and territorial spaces: In Paris, a balcony over the river in the heart of the historic city In Rabat, a sheltered public space beneath the underside of the bridge deck In Tianjin, a landmark structure that reveals and frames the surrounding landscape Each bridge celebrates the character of its site, offering spaces that are not only functional but also inviting—places to be experienced, appropriated, and shared by all.
