LATAM AI Summit! ✨

It was a pleasure to attend and learn from panelists with such deep knowledge of AI and Latin American business. I joined for the morning conversation on where the investment opportunities in LATAM are shifting, and what it takes to build a sustainable AI business.

My biggest takeaway: Latin America has so much more to offer than low costs. Hearing Latinos who are building in Silicon Valley talk about what works (and what doesn’t) was inspiring. 💡

Thank you to all the consulates for this wonderful and successful event for our Latin American community. 🙌🇨🇴🇵🇪🇨🇱🇺🇾🇧🇷🇲🇽🇬🇹

Our Work & Travel operations team, led by Supervising Operations Manager Kelly Asmus, along with Social Media Specialist Marcela Rojas and Work & Travel interns Vanessa 🇪🇨, Agustina 🇦🇷, and Attalie 🇨🇩, traveled to San Francisco to interview participants and employers at Boudin Bakery and Blazing Saddles about their summer. The trip also gave our interns the opportunity to put their content capture and digital marketing training into practice.

Many of our participants shared that this was their first time working, and spoke to the growth, responsibility, and independence that came with it. Our employers, Annelaine Clauss, Vice President at Blazing Saddles, and Doug Abbott, Vice President of Operations at Boudin Bakery, shared how the Work & Travel program contributes to the growth of their businesses and brings new perspectives into the workplace.

We are endlessly grateful for employer partners like Boudin Bakery and Blazing Saddles, who open their doors to our participants and contribute so positively to their growth. Together, we continue to change lives around the world, one experience at a time.

Being a dancer isn’t just about moving your body, being a dancer means feeling — feeling the music, feeling the song, connecting with the world in a way we sometimes feel we lose in the day to day.
