Hi friends! I am so excited to share with you the trailer for Yellowbird, the short animated film Jerred and I have been working on full-time for the last year!

It has been a labor of love since late 2018, but it would not have been possible without the immense support and resources the Animated Shorts Program by @wbdaccess and @hbomax provided to us.

I still pinch myself that we were able to collaborate with such a team of crazy talented and kind people, whose work I had admired remotely for a long time already.

Please join us in watching what we've created when Only You: An Animated Shorts Collection comes out on HBOMax next Wednesday, March 23rd.

Easily my favorite city to paint. A background concept based on my memory of working in an architecture studio in Lower Manhattan and taking breaks on the rooftop.

Thank you to @_jasminlai for your support and feedback. Your @warriorartcamp workshop is invaluable. 💙✨🙏 by @march_weather

A big reason to love LA are these incredible aerial views you can get from almost any hilly part of the city.

I created this background concept for @_jasminlai ‘s workshop at @warriorartcamp . Thank you so much Jasmine for the constant inspiration, generosity and guidance—what a privilege to paint and learn alongside you! by @march_weather

My whole family is divided on this one. Half are team ‘child dresses how they want,’ and the rest are yelling, ‘Keep the colors simpler!' 😊🧸

I started this piece with a concept I was really excited about and what felt like a solid base sketch. But the painting process turned out to be much more challenging than I expected, and the concept evolved several times before becoming what you see here.

This quick study was one of my favorites so far. Each stage felt like its own little painting.

This is the final drawing from Tuesday’s reel—this time with more details and all the stages it went through.

I’ve been lucky to spend so much time drawing lately, and it’s been such a joy. Thanks for being here. 🤍

It’s been 60 degrees this week—basically an LA blizzard—so making sure this character is staying warm))

This one made me nostalgic for my days drawing with pastels.

Sometimes you sit… and sometimes you sit. This is definitely the latter
