Most of us have learned to ask where our food comes from. What happens when we ask the same questions about our clothes? In the newest episode of A Regenerative Life, Scott Stoll, MD, talks with sustainable fashion pioneer Marci Zaroff, founder and CEO of ECOfashion Corp. They look at how food and fashion grow from the same agricultural system. Cotton, flax, and hemp begin in the soil, while some materials come from a chemically driven plastic system. Dr. Stoll brings the questions he has long asked about food to the clothes we wear. Where did it come from? How was it grown and how was the soil managed? 🌈💔🎨 Rest in Peace @petermax.co — dear friend, mentor & one of the greatest creative forces of our time. … Peter’s art was never simply about color. It was about “a better world” — LOVE, peace, environmental & social awareness, yoga, meditation, wellness, spirituality, and the infinite possibilities of human consciousness. Ahead of his time. Like me, a hippy at heart. A genius at work. Translating his passion onto the canvas. … I met Peter in 1989 at Ozu (macrobiotic) Restaurant, just after moving to NYC from Berkeley, CA. When he walked in, as an art aficionado, I recognized him instantly. He asked to join me for lunch, so I was thrilled. His JFK Portraits & Neoman paintings already adorned my apt walls. We talked for hours about our shared vision for people, planet & prosperity. … I told him about my new business “Gulliver’s”, inspired by “Gulliver’s Travels” — dedicated to educating consumers about health, self-realization & discovery — eventually becoming the IIN @nutritionschool — the world’s largest “health coach” certification program. He believed in me & created our 1st logo & business cards, using his signature “better world” boat. … When I launched “Macrocosm Magazine”, he was my 1st interview, and our friendship blossomed thru the years… … I spent countless hours watching Peter paint in his studio, sharing thoughts & meals together — having endless conversations about art, lifestyle & business. These ideas were the foundation of my book ECORENAISSANCE, where I featured Peter in my opening chapter as 1 of 3 mentors — alongside iconic AVEDA founder Horst Rechelbacher. … For Horst’s 70th bday on 11-11-11, I had Peter paint his portrait, surrounded by 11 hearts.
