Still don’t have the right words to describe what this moment meant to me and what it took to get here.

Winning the Leadership & Core Values Award is something I don’t take lightly and realize it’s a privilege to have.

Truly honored.

Truly grateful.

Last year wasn’t easy but God carried me through every challenge, every doubt, every heavy moment.

When things felt too big for me, He picked up the cross and helped me carry it.

I think back to being a 23-year-old kid… no clear purpose, no real plan, just trying to figure life out.

All I knew was to no half ass things.

I knew my the goal was to find something that would give me purpose.

That’s exactly what I walked into when I started at S2 back in 2019.

Throughout my career here at S2, I’ve learned
something powerful:

No matter where you are…

No matter what position you hold…

Growth is a decision.

Three things that have kept me grounded while chasing my goals:

Faith – Trusting God’s timing even when I didn’t understand the season

Perspective – Adversity isn’t punishment, it’s preparation

Consistency – Showing up daily with effort and the right intention

Success isn’t just about titles or awards.

It’s about working toward a dream.

Showing up to work happy.

Finding purpose in progress.

Falling in love with the process.

To all my peers in the company thank you because your efforts to show up at your best and work hard are the examples I use to help me continue to find ways to get better.

Thank you @j_shat_23 @iancrediblehutch @s2wes @joshwags19 @tfox1227 @andrew_lynn11 for setting a great example to follow. Your belief in me over the years has been a blessing.

@kcomes316 @jeff_wasserman appreciate the example you guys have set for me to look forward too. Happy to have the opportunity to learn from you guys.

To our customers thank you. Your trust, your conversations, your support… it all means more than you know. You’re the reason we push to be better.

To my mother for always believing in me.

To my Edwardsville & Shiloh team thank you for believing in me and working hard!

And the best part?

We’re just getting started.

Fall in love with the process.

Not the hype.

Not the outcome.

Not the applause.

The process is showing up when you don’t feel like it.

Putting in the work on the days motivation is nowhere to be found.

Choosing discipline when comfort would be easier.

Dreams don’t come true overnight.

They’re built quietly one rep, one decision, one sacrifice at a time.

If you show up consistently, even imperfectly,
the results have no choice but to come.

Fall in love with becoming.

That’s where everything changes.

Go out there and make your dreams a reality and when you find success always remain humble in the process.

This is a full circle moment.

At our last company meeting, I was given the opportunity to run both of our Illinois stores… and it’s had me reflecting all week on everything I had to endure to get here.

It’s been emotional in the best way possible.

So I wanted to share a piece of my story
to show my gratitude for every hard-working customer who spends their hard-earned money with us…

Also to thank the men and women I’ve met through this company who have shaped me along the way.

If anything, I hope my story helps the next generation understand that betting on yourself is always worth it.

As I write this, I shed tears of joy for the younger version of me the kid who thought he’d never amount to much.

The kid who grew up in a broken home…

Who never fit in…

Who didn’t have an active father…

Who didn’t have strong examples of leadership or anything that looked like a life worth chasing.

I had a loving family, but they didn’t always understand the battles I faced.

Growing up with a single mother working two jobs just to keep the lights on leaves an impact.

It hits different when you walk in from school and see your mom crying over how she’ll pay the bills.

With my dad not around, I had to grow up quicker than most.

I lived most of my childhood with a victim mindset full of insecurities, lacking confidence, and convinced I wasn’t meant for much.

But everything changed in 2019 when I got my opportunity at S2.

For the first time, I felt accepted.

I didn’t know it then, but that moment would force me to raise my standards, build myself up, and step into the man I wanted to become.

Early on, I made a dumb decision and got my first DUI.

That was my crossroads the moment I had to decide who I was going to be:

Find a new job…
or go all-in on S2.

I’m so damn grateful I chose to bet on myself and pour everything into my growth.

Six years later, I’ve heard it all:
“You’re wasting your time.”
“You’re in a cult.”
“You still work at that little vitamin shop?”
“You ever getting a real job?”

My brain cannot process negative energy, so when I catch it automatically gets converted into productive energy.

And the wildest part?

I’m only getting started. by @marcooos_1996

Most people show up when the work is easy.

I’m here for the days it’s not.

I’ve learned that doing hard things over and over again will break you.

While this is happening I’ve learned a lot about my character and how to set higher standards.

Embrace the suck you’d be surprised as to what you can actually handle👊🏾

Had a great time at St. James Parish center doing the 5k with @marcooos_s2. It was definitely a challenge considering I didn’t train for it at all and I’m not a runner 😭 but we did it!

Went and tried something new and did a Hyrox style workout at @f45training_ofallonil and let me say this simply… it kicked my ass. Maybe a sign to work a few more cardio days in the program.

Definitely recommend it for people looking for a hitt class to really challenge themselves! by @marcooos_1996

Talked to a lot of customers this week who have seen life changing results this year.

It made me go back in time and see where I started.

And how far I’ve been able to work towards my own fitness goals and lifestyle I set out to accomplish years back.

This was the first photo I felt “comfortable” taking of myself granite I had lost 10ish pounds by this point but was still a hefty 240…

But like most of you I really struggled with body dis morphia (still do some days) and would have never thought of trying out new things with my fitness..

But hearing some of my really good customers personal testimonials this week made me reminiscence on my own journey.

Today I still have similar struggles but I am more in control of my foods, protein intake, and water consumption.

For those of you who struggle with it really just as simple as focusing on these basic principles ^^^

I’ve also made it a point to surround myself around like minded people who are about it.

This has made a huge impact on my ability to stay discipline you want people around you with similar habits and goals to be in a better place than where they started.

Really great way to hold yourself accountable on “the journey” and if you need someone because you don’t have anyone like minded just reach out I’d be happy to fill that void..

I know what it’s like to not have peers around you be interested in it.. it’s lonely and hard.

A customer asked me a good question the other day about my why
-
Question: What got you into working out?
-
Answer: I didn’t grow up with strong male leadership in my life, so I had to learn accountability in my own way.
-
Fitness became that foundation—it forced me to show up, stay disciplined, and push through when no one was watching.

What started as a way to hold myself accountable turned into something much bigger.
-
Once I built that discipline, it carried over into every area of my life. That’s when things really took off.

Leadership isn’t just about leading others—it starts with leading yourself first.💪🏼
