I realised it had been a minute since I last posted here, so I thought I’d share a little bit of an update and the face behind the gram.

Transitioning back into Australian life after 4 years abroad has been much better than I expected - reconnecting with friends & family, weekend trips away, watching the sun rise over the ocean, and saying yes to every social plan that pops up. While there’s been a lot of change, there’s a really lovely kind of calm settling in.

And while I’m certainly keeping busy behind the scenes capturing & crafting beautiful wedding films, I’ve been quite slow on the socials as life outside of work has kept me pretty busy. Like any industry, a healthy work/life balance is what keeps you going, and the cup feels pretty full at the moment 🫶🏻

That said, it won’t be long until I jet back over to Europe for the 2026 season, this time working across Italy & the UK for August & September. Aside from working, I’ll be walking part of the Camino with my Dad & brother, catching up with friends & family in Puglia & London, and meeting my little nephew that recently joined the world 🤍

So there’s a very brief update on my little life! Maybe I’ll start to mirror that work/life balance on the gram.

2027 Europe dates have also been confirmed, so please reach out if you’d like me to join you for your wedding 🤍

Do you believe in soul mates?

An incredibly special and touching moment shared between Sari & Jacob, from their wedding ceremony at @masseriacalderisi in Puglia.

Surrounded by friends and family from all over the world, this moment felt quietly enormous. The kind of moment that doesn’t need dressing up, just a good soundtrack that can get underneath it.

Not often do I arrive at a wedding with any preconceived ideas. There’s something about approaching the day with an open mind; allowing the film to find its own shape and feeling, naturally.

Arriving in Puglia with a few days to spare, I spent some time exploring the surrounding villages that I once called home. In the most unlikely of locations, I overheard this track playing on the radio, immediately sparking a creative idea which I took with me into the wedding day.

There’s something really sweet about capturing a friend’s wedding, especially when they’re as genuine, caring, and beautiful as Sam & Emma.

When approaching their film, I was overwhelmed with just how many people shared heartfelt words about them as a collective, and how they have shaped one another along the way. There was a constant theme of togetherness and admiration of them as a couple, which allowed me to highlight the beautiful details of their relationship.

After their wedding, the three of us jumped on a call to discuss some of my creative ideas, and make sure I was taking the film in the right direction. I recall Sam & Emma’s growing excitement as they learnt how everything would come together, and which elements of the day I wanted to hone in on. The result; a beautiful balance of romance, playfulness, intimacy and love.

Sharing the film with them was such a special moment.

Weddings in Italy have a special aura, they have something inexplicable that makes their people and culture something special... or is it just part of my family and history that I like so much ❤️🇮🇹🍕🍝
