POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Happy Friday! Sharing a little airport book haul today! These 2 covers and their synopses caught my attention, so I bought them 😍 if you couldn’t tell from my posts lately, I’ve been in a cozy fantasy mood. I think it’s just something about the world being a dumpster fire at the moment that has me turning to some lighter and cozier reads.

Anyways, even though I’m mid 5 books I decided to start The Impossible Garden of Clara Thorne on my flight home and so far it’s super cute and easy to read. I should’ve been a more “responsible reader” and finished at least one of my current reads but F it 😂

How many books do you read at once?

Hope you’re having an amazing Friday!!

Happy Wednesday! Here is my last & next! I’m loving the diversity in genre here 😍

Last: Our Perfect Storm: ALL THE STARS! I think this author will be added to my favorites list! My next read by her will be Every Summer After and I can’t wait! Our Perfect Storm was nothing short of perfect!

Next: The Caretaker, one of my most anticipated releases of the year. I really enjoyed We Used to Live Here. It was such a bizarre and creepy reading experience. I’m beyond curious to see what The Caretaker delivers especially since everyone has been raving about it, so I have even higher hopes.

I decided to add some pics of my current hotel room. I think it’s so cute! And this little beaver they have all over the place is perfection. If you can’t tell by this detail, I’m currently in DC. Never been here before and it’s pretty cool!

What was your last book and what is your next book?

Happy Saturday! Having the most amazing time with my current read, Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune. I read my first book by this author last summer (One Golden Summer) and it was the most perfect reading experience. It was exactly what I needed at that moment and time. I think about that book quite often and might quite possibly reread it this upcoming summer. We’ll see though cause I also have This Summer Will Be Different in this summer’s cue so we might have to sacrifice the reread 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m really really enjoying Our Perfect Storm. I’m about 160 pages in and I’m so eager to see what happens. I mean, I kinda can figure what will happen but the how is what has me wanting to just sit here for the rest of the day and devour this.

What was the last book that you devoured? Let’s chat books!

What I’m #currentlyreading and I’m OBSESSED!

Death Meets Cute: we follow Iris who wants to be the most evilest villain in the world but after unleashing a spell that sent realms into chaos she’s left feeling empty. So, she heads out to find herself. She leaves her sisters behind and heads into the quiet town of Fraywell to wreak havoc on the town or so she thought!!

I’m 100 pages in and I’m so in love with Iris and her “wicked” ways. She has a hedgehog as a familiar and he’s amazing! I find myself laughing and giggling when he comes on the page.

Anyways, I got some new deck furniture in today so I’m going to go enjoy the rest of this beauty laying down listening to nature 🥰

Thanks so much to @poisonedpenpress for sending this amazing book my way!

Hi IG!!!! I keep disappearing on y’all! I promise I don’t do it on purpose. The days just fly by and honestly the mood hasn’t been there either. And on top of that my introverted brain struggles to come out and play. But I have missed talking about books with y’all!

I made some changes in the #homelibrary I’m loving the new layout. It feels more open in here. These are still only my horror books so the genre layout has not changed.

Anyways, what are y’all reading? I’m currently reading some of my anticipated books for the year and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll share these next!

What I’m closing the month off with! I’m going into this one blind AF! I was invited to cohost @thebooktroop for November and I said yes without even knowing what this book was about 😂 I just love @_myfictionalworld and I automatically say yes when the invite comes! I have already read the prologue and I’m HOOKED!

What will you be reading for the rest of the month?

Also, Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! I hope you eats lots of yummy food and read lots of good books!

Happy Thursday! I have a little reading update for today! I have finished 2 of these and I’m currently reading 2 (more like 5 but these are my main 2)

Finished:
I enjoyed both of these immensely and gave both of them 4 stars
📕 Spitting Gold: an atmospheric book about 2 sisters that fake at being mediums for a living. They are hired to get rid of a spirit that’s haunting a family. They are ready to fake everything but this time, it’s real! I loved all the characters and the POV’s!
📕The Last Tale of the Flower Bride: This was my 3rd book in a row by Roshani Chokshi. I just really really enjoy her writing. This is her adult debut and it was delicious! Here we follow a Bridegroom as he recounts a story about his wife and her mysterious secrets, which he should never never pry into because, as she puts it, it will be the death of their marriage. This was AMAZING! I enjoyed it from beginning to end!

Currently reading:
📕 Dearest: enjoying!
📕 Wild Dark Shore: loving!

What have you currently finished and what are you currently reading? Also, tell me which picture you like better? I think I like the second slide better 😍

Which one should I read? I can’t decide, help me!

The Last Tale of the Flower Bride: top 3 genres on GR are fantasy gothic and horror! Yes pls! It also states in the summary that this is somewhat of a combination of the haunting atmosphere of Mexican Gothic (a fave of mine) and the dreamy enchantment of The Invisible Life of Addie Larue (which is one of my top 5 books!) Tjisncombination will make my heart explode 😂

Wild Dark Shore: this is set on a remote island and that’s all I need to know!!! Also, a mysterious woman shows up on said remote island after a storm?!?!?! YES YES YES!!

So this is why I can’t decide! I desperately want to read both!

Also, this time change is kicking my ass!! 😩

I know I’ve been MIA yet again. This move was not the easiest so my brain needed a bit of a break. But I think I’m out of the brain mush stage. I wanted to jump on here to show my progress on my horror book shelves. We are back to the corner format 😍 I still need to unpack my trinkets and such but this is what it currently looks like (Lysol wipes and all) 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

What are you reading?

Don’t let the smile fool ya, Bookstagram, I AM STRESSED TF OUT!! 😭😭😭SEND HELP! We are in the thick of things! We should be completely moved out by Friday! It has been chaotic to say the least and I have had a gazillion meltdowns! But I’m happy to report that all my books (minus a bin) have been moved! 😅 Honestly, I was able to see how my workouts and strength classes have helped me in everyday life. Carrying totes and totes of bags up and down flights is not easy but I felt so strong and good doing it! This has been the only upside in this whole move 😂 💪🏼

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing great and reading loads! I haven’t read anything! Not even audiobooks! But I have started watching a show that I never thought I would watch but it’s bringing me so so much comfort. More on that tomorrow… xoxo by @marcyreads
