POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
10 years later. Spartans, and more explicitly the SPit, has been everything to me, and it I will miss it so very much. Here is a photo from every summer I spent there, and they are the lesser known ones. No performance shots, just the friends and memories I made along the way ✨ Thank you for so many summers of a lifetime, and thank you to every peer, staff member, coworker, and student for making it so dear to my heart. I know for a fact I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I wouldn’t have found my husband, I wouldn’t be nearly the musician I am, I wouldn’t have found my passion, I wouldn’t know most of the amazing people I call my friends, and I wouldn’t know how to stand up for my values even when it’s hard. Summers truly won’t be the same, but maybe it’s time to enjoy one off. RRC, Always ❤️🖤 taken in Nashua, New Hampshire by @margmarimba

When Spartans move in twenty minutes from Monadnock, how could you not take the opportunity to climb?! Glad I got to experiment my first sunrise hike with some of the SPit staff ✨🥰 taken in Mount Monadnock by @margmarimba

Master of Music in Music Education 🎓Who would’ve thought three years ago when I was scheduling surgeries all day that I’d make it here? So glad I got to graduate with my friends, and thankful for my proxy family (Everett band team) and my husband who came to see it. What’s next?! ✨ taken in Longy School of Music by @margmarimba

Words can’t describe how proud I am. These kids have reminded me once again why I love teaching so much. They’ve pushed to new limits, they’ve become good people, they’ve helped each other with homework, they’ve stayed positive, and they’ve gotten SO MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR!! I cannot believe a 46 person ensemble, that has only 3 seniors and a whopping 15 (YES, FIFTEEN!!!!!) middle schoolers has accomplished so much. I am so happy for them ending as WGI A Class finalists in the group’s first year back to marching. 11th out of 57! The future is truly so bright that it’s blinding, and I know this season is going to hold a special spot in my heart. Positive and hard working culture = BUILT ✅ New standards = SET ✅ I love my kids, I love my job, I love the people I work with, can’t wait for the next one, The End ❤️ taken in University of Dayton Arena by @margmarimba

Abbreviated for character limit 🙄
This summer has probably been my most fulfilling summer with the Spartans ever. The sheer level of talent in the SPit was stunning, and they peaked at just the right time. They have so much fun, and I will cherish all of our laughs together. They played the hardest book ever, and wow was I glowing with pride watching them do it. Truly the G.O.A.T. SPit. Thank you to Tom Wilson for writing the coolest and most difficult SPit book of all time, it was an HONOR being able to teach it.
Ensemble rehearsals are something I really treasured this season, being able to work from the nitty gritty in subsectionals with the woods to working on putting the full product together on the field! I loved seeing the entire corps grow. They pushed through some hard days, and the last ensemble we had together was truly the best Spartans run I have EVER seen in a rehearsal. It’s incredible as an alumna to see members still have their summer of a lifetime so many years after I had mine. This corps is a family, living by RRC. I see these members give it their all, and always do it while showing respect and love to their peers and staff, and to the corps they compete with as well. We are all here for our love of music, to become better people, become better musicians, and form lifelong relationships. HOW LUCKY ARE WE to be here together?
Thank you to EVERYONE involved: staff, students, volunteers, friends, alumni, all of you are so important!
To anyone reading this who has more time in their drum corps journey, I hope you’ll consider giving this corps a shot at winning your heart. You won’t regret it.
Spartans, prepare for glory. (I love you ALL.)

Today marks a year since my mom passed. I love looking back at these photos because she was just so cute and so happy all the time. I have so many wonderful memories and I’m so grateful to have had the greatest, kindest mom in the whole wide world. The tears still fall, and I don’t expect they’ll stop anytime soon, but I have so much to cherish from this woman. I love you so much, Mom. And damn, could I use a hug from you today❤️ by @margmarimba

I haven’t posted in a long while, and I have a whole lot of catching up to do. For now, I present you with: the G.O.A.T. SPit. These folks came to play. The level of talent they showed up with matched with what is the hardest and craziest front ensemble book the Spartans have ever seen is a match made in heaven. The work that they accomplished in 17 days of move-ins tops where we usually end our season and I’m in awe of them every day. I’m so proud as an alumna to see where this year is going…This organization is growing like never before and I’m so so happy to be a part of the journey. Now we head south. If you haven’t seen the Spartans yet this season, you are in for quite a surprise. This corps is on fire. Love you always, SPit. RRC ❤️🖤 by @margmarimba

Yesterday was an exciting day. Jared and I are finally moving closer to our jobs now that we’ve closed on our condo in Haverhill. We’ve been through a truly hellish year after everything that happened with our Rutland house (a long and financially gruesome story), and we’re so glad to finally be back on our feet in a new place. No more two hour commute! I wish my mom got to be here for this since I know she was so excited for us to move, but I can feel her smiling down on us every day ❤️
We couldn’t have made this journey without the advice and care of our agent Rebecca Koulalis who has done so much for us throughout the whole process. Here’s to a much better year ahead.
If you’re wondering where my yearly post-tour drum corps post is…ah. The words are so hard to find. Give me a couple more days to reflect. by @margmarimba
