Today, ‘Meant to Find Out’ is one week old! 🎈 To celebrate, here’s a video sharing a little backstory behind the song. It’s funny how, when I first wrote the lyrics, I was telling a very specific story. But by the time the song was finished, it was telling me a different one. All of a sudden, the lyrics made so much sense in a new way. Hope you enjoy! And if you feel like it, give our song a listen on your favourite streaming platform and share it with your people. 🥰 by @margot.charly
Have you made it to the end of the song yet? The part where the title finally makes sense. ✨ #newmusic #newmusicalert #singlerelease #indiepop #charlymae by @margot.charly
Meant to Find Out. 🥹 It’s here! This one is for everyone who changed themselves for others. Who people-pleased and eventually had to find out that it’s enough. That you were enough, all along. From: “lived most of my life through the eyes of men. Shifting shapes. Hell, I’m not changing again.” To: “live most of my life now, fueled by desire. If you will light me up, but I will burn my own fire.” 🤸🏼‍♀️ We’ve been asked what this song is about. For us, it’s not so much about telling our own story. It’s about what this song means to you. How it connects to your life and your own experiences. We’d love for you to give it a listen and share it with your people. And if you feel like it, tell us what this song means to you. We’d love to hear your stories. 🖤 ‘Meant to Find Out’ is out now on all streaming platforms! Big thanks to @kleinsoundworks for doing an amazing job of mixing and mastering our song. #newmusic #newmusicalert #newmusicfriday #indiepop #singlerelease by @margot.charly
My little Gili Air scrapbook 🏝️💕🖼️ A month here went by so quickly. Island time really runs differently. More than ever, I remembered how much I love side questing. And walking. 😂 How many times I turned down a scooter ride, only to see the confused look on people’s faces. Sitting down at one place and then walking again to another. The ultimate feeling of freedom. Finding my favourite spots, familiar faces and little routines along the way. Thank you, Gili Air. For your sunny days, your sunsets and your starry skies, but most of all for your music and your people. Music was always around. A guitar somewhere, someone singing, a spontaneous jam, friends playing gigs, or I ended up singing somewhere I didn’t plan to be (no plans are the best plans). Thank you to everyone who made this month so full of music. 🫶 Hope our paths cross again. And thankful for all the lovely people I got to meet and share chats, coffees, dances, late nights and slow mornings with. See u when I see u ya 🙏 Going on another side quest for now. by @margot.charly

ESCE family ✨ Five days of morning coffee, shared meals, assisting with English classes, joining a trip to the coast with the English teachers, and somehow never feeling like I was “just a guest.” Thank you for welcoming me into your home, making me feel like family and making these days so special. ❤️ @esceindonesia @nurfaizifitrah @auliapsn @mr.mack.moor @muhnurikram._ by @margot.charly
One of those moments you could never plan 🛵 We were exploring the Toraja highlands when our scooter broke down right next to a local singing competition within a 5 minute walk. In no time my friend had somehow arranged for me to get on stage. (Shout out to @soyrapainu 😂) Luckily, I’ve learned that in Indonesia, you can rarely go wrong with Yellow by Coldplay. Definitely not how I expected that day to end, but it turned into one of my favorite memories from Sulawesi. 🙏 by @margot.charly
Traveling through Flores has come to an end, and wow… ❤️ I could’ve never imagined the experiences I’d have or the adventures I’d go on. I’m leaving with so many memories and a lot of gratitude for this special island. Flores, you have a little piece of my heart. 🌴 by @margot.charly
