I came to Wall Street to learn the rules. I left because I learned them. Turns out success and alignment aren’t always the same. So I’m betting on independence, my own practice, and building a business where people don’t have to fit the mold to belong. New chapter. Same fire. And what better month than Pride to celebrate being exactly who you are. 🌈 adamswealthcollective.com #lgbtq #wealth #bosslady #pridemonth #wealthmanagement by @mariamrox
Goals! 🇮🇹 I’ve never truly unplugged. Being a business owner (and maybe a bit too American), I’ve always felt the need to stay “on.” It was uncomfortable at first (yes I’m a weirdo), but I knew I needed it and did it. Somewhere between Italy, family, and friends, I let go for the first time 🇮🇹🤌💕🚗🥂🍕 A few more beach days, then back to doing what I love. #grazie famiglia e #italia #fortedeimarmi #florence #pisa @djnini_ @laurasantora @_gina_lollobrigida @ericabeckman @anna.conlan by @mariamrox
Love my crazy family ❤️ All glammed up for our photo shoot… then straight into the pool. Clothes and all. Wouldn’t change a thing 🤪🤟 #tuscany #familyvacay #italia @_gina_lollobrigida @laurasantora @djnini_ 🇮🇹 by @mariamrox
June 26, 2013. Marriage Equality. Finally 🏳️‍🌈 We were there. Right outside the Supreme Court after it struck down DOMA and moved marriage equality forward in America. It also happened to be Congressman Barney Frank’s official retirement day after 32 years in Congress. He was the first openly gay congressman who came out in the 80s. And he used that platform to become a champion for many of us. We spoke not as politician and investment lobbyist, but simply as two gay people who understood what that moment meant. I thanked him for his service and everything he fought for on behalf of our community. I shared that Rena and I had gotten married the year before (only on the state level), the same year he married his husband. He smiled and asked, “What day?” “July 7,” I said. “Me too,” he replied. And we shared a laugh. A fellow Jersey native who built a life between Boston and D.C., he always felt familiar to me. I saw him many times in the House chambers over the years, but this was the conversation that stayed with me. People like Barney rarely fought for just one community. Those who understand discrimination firsthand often become champions for others too. That’s what he did. #RIP to one of the good ones; a pioneer whose work changed so many lives… including mine. #barneyfrank #ripbarney #marriageequality #lgbtq by @mariamrox

🌈 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: MARIAM ADAMS (@mariamrox) Unicorn is fueled by people who believe in what this space means for our queer community. One of those people is @mariamrox, who stepped up as one of the top donors in our Kickstarter... helping fill in the gaps for folks who wanted to contribute, but understandably couldn’t this time around. Mariam has been showing up for Unicorn since the beginning: buying tickets, cheering on artists, and supporting queer businesses in the Hudson Valley. She shows up quietly, consistently, and with a lot of passion for success. She’s a first-generation queer POC who didn’t grow up with access, and that’s exactly why she cares so deeply about redistributing opportunity. Whether that’s through her support of queer spaces or the way she helps people build wealth, confidence, and financial ownership in their own lives. If you’ve met her here, you know she has big energy, a warm presence, and a way of making people feel seen. And if you haven’t yet… you might want to 👀💜 👉 Follow: @mariamrox by @mariamrox

📢 The LGBTQ+ Power Players list is OUT today! And I made the cut. What a f**king honor!! Yes it's fun making a "top list" 🤭, but this one is personally meaningful because it acknowledges the service and work done for THIS community - including the underserved in traditional finance.     The list also recognizes LGBTQ leaders who are striving for full equality. As we know from Friday's horrific news, our human and constitutional rights are at risk -- they can and have been stripped away from the many by the conservative/religious few (sounds like a theocracy to me).  Bottom line: some rights unfortunately aren't permanent in America. There's always work to do to safeguard them and push for more. Please continue the fight, start small if you feel overwhelmed, and begin in your local communities 🏳️‍🌈✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🏳️‍🌈 -------- ✅ The list is published in AMNY Metro, Gay City News, and PoliticsNY @politicsnynews 📰 Pick up today's print issue of @amnewyork on your commute and see the full list. 🗞️ It will also be in tomorrow's print issue of Gay City News @gaycitynews 🎨🦄 Cover art by the fabulous:  @artistrachelwilkins --------- LINK IN THE BIO or visit: https://politicsny.com/power-lists/lgbtq-power-players/ #powerplayers #gaycitynews #lgbt #lgbtq #pridemonth #pride #queer #queermoney #finance #ny #nyc #humanrights #roevwade #prochoice #abortion #abortionrights #womensrights #mybodymychoice #reproductiverights #plannedparenthood by @mariamrox

🏳️‍🌈🎉 June is #Pride month! My team and family are celebrating our LGBTQ+ community and those who commit to our continued fight for equality. For those clients who have been in my office (pre-pandemic), you're well aware I'm the only one that presents the way I do at headquarters. It may seem like we're everywhere in NYC, but trust, wealth management can be an isolating place for people like us. My happy place is the diverse practice I've built internally, my local community and pride group, and supportive clients (LGBTQ+ and allies alike) who have joined my work family and have become friends. Throughout June you'll see a very busy month of giving back and honoring the hard work we did to get here. Please lean in to the ones that interest you. And wherever you can, please support LGBTQ businesses. The more successful we are, the more visible we are. 🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month Friends!! 🏳️‍🌈 Stay tuned. 📷 @andyxroo 🤓 #lgbt #lgbtq #pridemonth #pride #june1st #queer #nonbinary #allies #finance #financialadvisor by @mariamrox
