Feeling doubtful and overwhelmed of the vastness that you are to achieve

before you become the person you want to be

can be very present

and prevent us from taking action.

Then we might write a long and exhausting ToDo list

that’s unrealistic and as a result we’ve just procrastinated.

Leaving us feeling disappointed, helpless

and as a sign of FAILURE.

Instead:
🌿start small
🌿set realistic time aside for it
🌿find mentors who will help you on the way
🌿celebrate small wins

I am a professional dancer, who took the leap after 6 years of studying physics.

Grateful ✨

I can’t believe it’s already been two years at @ybaballet .

When I first arrived, I was a complete mess, and looking back now, I can see how much I’ve grown, not only as a dancer, but also as a person. The progress I’ve made during these two years feels immense, and I’m incredibly grateful to be able to dance the way I do today.

That’s why I want to send a huge thank you to my teacher, @tatianayerakhavets , for all her support, guidance, and dedication to me and my friends throughout these years.

If there is one thing all of us agree on, it’s that there is no better teacher or person than her. Beyond her professionalism and knowledge of ballet, she has an enormous heart, and all of her students love her dearly.

Thank you, Tatiana, for welcoming me, believing in me, and helping me grow so much at YBA. I will always be grateful for everything you have done for me.

I also want to thank all the teachers at YBA who have supported me throughout these two years, especially @vincent__gros @alexandrsnitko and @javidanza.llage

Consistency over everything. 🩰

Two years ago, I decided to work on improving my back conditioning for ballet. What I’ve learned since is that progress comes from showing up every day, even on the days you don’t feel like it.

About slowing down…

I am so grateful to always be welcome in this beautiful land of Lithuania.

The last few weeks in the city, was feeling I really needed a break and going into nature was what my body needed.

It’s been very special few days surrounded by women, and I’ very grateful for the circle created amongst my friends.

Coming back to nature always feels like remembering a way of living that we forgot in our fast pace city life.

Being here reminded me of the possibility of slowing down as a way of living and enjoying the simple things of life: waking up in the morning and walking barefoot to the river to wash, collecting flowers, walking to the water source to get water, slowly preparing a meal in the afternoon to have at dinner, and to dive into a connection with another human because there is no rush.

The power of sitting around and a fire and dancing.
