RIP to our sweet Maddy kitty. I woke up early this morning, realizing she wasn’t sleeping with us. As soon as I wake up, the cats begin to circle knowing that food is on its way. Maddy was never one to miss a meal, so I became alarmed. I went to her spot, her box where she liked to lay on top of antique linens (she was a princess). She was all curled up as if she were sleeping. No signs of trauma or distress. She was at peace.
October of 2012 Nathan, Katharine & I went to get a kitten. Upon seeing Maddy, we all 3 instantly knew we wanted her. What was the deciding factor? She had a little stub of a tail. It made her stand out and it suited her. Maddy and her brother, Brody, and Charlie, who joined us a month later (thank you Tucker) were the best of siblings.
She had so much personality, was affectionate and had a special ability to “Ninja” off a wall in order to quickly head down a hallway the opposite direction. Her purrs and snuggles will be missed. by @marieliv

The “girls”. My first kids. First came Pickles and then Lyla was the runt of Pickles’ one and only litter. It’s been 29 years. Today I appreciate looking at their sweet faces and remembering all of their crazy energy and sweet companionship. 🐾 by @marieliv
