Simple Gruffalo themed birthday at home. Colouring in, “feed” the Gruffallo, low sugar themed snacks, paper reusable decor and lovely people.

Spot the spelling mistake 🐍!

The concept was dreamt up with my lovely friend who employed me to do her son’s birthday a few years ago. I still had the artworks, she still had some of the napkins! I LOVE doing parties. Especially when I get to lean in to my values of healthier foods, less wasteful decor and personalised party packs. Takes me back to the parties of my childhood - quarters of oranges, homemade cake and party games.

Surrounded by family and friends it was the perfect way to reflect on the past year. We are so lucky.

Smash cake by the amazing @jollyfello_cpt and adult chiffon cake by my amazing mother in law @goodmanhazel. Homemade cards by cute cousins. Forever grateful to my patient and helpful husband who hardly sighs loudly when carrying out errands 😆 by @marielmakes

Making a floral ice bowl in memory of my mother who passed away. She taught me so many things. She lives on in us. So proud to be her daughter.

Challashing for more info?

We’re talking 32 pages, an abridged, thoughtful, lekker modern Seder. Meaningful, but we’re not keeping everyone at the table till 5787. Oh the chutzpah of a 3 hour Seder.

Options:
🫓 One Haggadah to pass around the table = R150
🫓 Or be a big macha, spoil the mishpocha and give everyone their own:
10 Haggadot for R1300

It’s got all your favourites, it is classy, it’s clever, it keeps things moving. Basically, your Seder just got an upgrade.

Go-on you nachas machine. Be the wise child and bring home the matzo.

*Please note this is an adult Haggadah, made for adults* by @marielmakes

Be honest…

The kids table are bored.
Half the table is checking the time.
Someone always asks: “How much longer until we eat?”

What if the seder could be shorter, engaging, joy-filled and meaningful?

I think it can.

Coming soon…
