To all our MySchool Card donors and new prospective supporters,

On the 30th June all the Woolworths MySchool Cards will be deactivated. To continue your valued and much appreciated support, or to start supporting us, kindly download the Woolworths App and select The Angel Network as your beneficiary of choice.

Your support means so much to us as an NPO, contributing towards the work we do to change lives in disadvantaged communities. Each time you swipe your new card we benefit.

Download or Update:
- Get the latest version of the Woolies App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Log In/Register: Open the app and log into your Woolworths account.
- Activate MyDifference: Navigate to the Loyalty or MyDifference section to activate your virtual card.
- Choose Your Cause: Go to Causes, select “Choose my own,” or “Add Another Cause” and search for your preferred charity, school, or non-profit so they continue to receive funds.
- Scan at Till: Open the app whenever you shop to scan your virtual barcode. The Angel Network will benefit every time you swipe.

Thank you in advance for your support.

The weather gods smiled on us with a wind-free Sunday as Huge clouds of bubbles floated through the air at Silvermist Estate in Constantia for our Family Day.

It was a proudly EO day, thanks to EO member Warren Lieberman from @drumstruckshow, and to catering by @andreafoulkes & @dishfoodandsocial. Drinks by @clydeackerman from @thirstbarservices, and our merch pop-up store by @dustinluks from @luksbrand_sa.

Toddlers & tweens giggled in their groups. Artisanal ice cream from @‌lifeunframed was enjoyed by grown-ups and children alike. It was a magical day where, no matter your age, you were jiving to the sounds of Drumstruck or DJ Raiven. Pizzas were topped (@gozney.za), meats were smoked (@traegergrillssa), and gingerbread people were decorated (Hart and Harck). If you were lucky, you snagged yourself a family portrait by @‌danidoodledandy and a bejeweled face paint by Abdullah. The slip ’n slide was a highlight!

Well done to our Engagement chair, @adrienerasmus, and President ‌@_ag021 for knowing how to keep the kids entertained. The youngsters managed to tear themselves away from the slide, ball pond, and jumping castle to play some great games. Members watched on as the next generation made connections, the connections we value most as EOers. Well done to our staffing dream team - @‌liorhirshy, @marielmakes, & @‌bespokebyjo for pulling out all the stops.

The quotes say it all:
“The family day was such a hit with the whole family. A fun and seriously elevated experience! Made me proud to be an EO member.” @insta__ingram

“The Family Day is one of the highlights of the EO calendar, and they outdid themselves. Nothing better than catching up with your EO & EOA friends, letting the kids run wild, enjoying amazing food and entertainment, and going home feeling very grateful.” - Shannon Brauer

“My kids are a handful so 10 out of 10 for the team, the boys were playing and slipping and sliding and ballsporting and ice creaming the whole day and had a blast, so did my wife and I. First class all the way.” - @‌pggeldenhuys

“The venue and food were incredible, and the vibe was exactly what was needed for a wonderful end of the year.” - @gaynormacarthur

The Sparkling Summer Social didn’t disappoint. Tekkies squeaked, the bass pumped, and everyone left on a high. The lights of Muizenberg twinkled in the distance behind our high-energy headliner, @goodlucklive, who pulled out all the stops and had us throwing shapes on the dance floor. Our very own DJ @iam.rizzo carried off where they left off, ensuring we didn’t want to leave, and new members realised that EOers really love to party.

Thank you to our hosts Simo and @yasmina_kubheka for opening their magnificent home to us and to all of you for bringing the vibe. It was lovely to see so many members of our EO community together, from members to SLPs, NEXT GEN, Strategic partners, and elumni.

Simo gave a moving speech about his wife’s strength and the support he has received from his fellow EOers in their time of need.

Our rock star president, @gaynormacarthur , reflected on the incredible year in EO and gave us a galvanising look forward to the next few months of her presidency. We have so much to look forward to #justsayyes.

Thank you to our event coordinator, @marielmakes , for going above and beyond to ensure a smooth run on the evening and to @dishfoodandsocial for the delicious harvest table.

Quotes

“Once in a lifetime! EO delivers epic events that you’ll never forget.” - @louw.barnardt

“Wow, what an incredible experience! This event truly exceeded all my expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the seamless organisation to the engaging content and inspiring atmosphere. I left feeling inspired, connected, and eager for more. Huge kudos to the organisers and everyone involved—this experience was unforgettable!” @damianmichael

“It was awesome to see @goodlucklive perform in such an intimate and beautiful setting. They most certainly brought the energy and elevated the vibe. @iam.rizzo had big shoes to fill, but he, too, kept the vibe going and the dance floor full. Thanks, EO, for a fantastic party!” - @francesjearey

To all the Grannies, Nonas, Nanas, Bobas, Gogos and Gagas - do your children keep asking you not to buy your grandchildren treats? Why not donate to the Angel Network instead so that we can gift Easter Eggs to those children who would otherwise go without.

This weekend I was also very lucky to have friends and family come together and organize my baby shower
They put so much love and care into it. The details from my favorite children’s book and messages from friends far away. This is one lucky baby ! 🎀
