365 days of watching you grow
365 days of growing with you👶🏻

Somehow… I had a feeling we should take these photos before Toto’s birthday.

Nothing fancy. No studio. No grand setup.

Just the three of us, at home, with our helper behind the camera📷

A week later, Toto fell sick right before her first birthday, and I kept thinking… I’m so glad we didn’t wait.

Sometimes you don’t know why your heart tells you to do something—you just listen.

I guess the “babies always fall sick before turning one” myth is real🥹

Two days before her first birthday, Toto got really sick. It was one of those moments where nothing else mattered except hoping she’d get better in time.

Thankfully, she woke up feeling so much better on her birthday, and we still got to celebrate this special milestone together🤍

There’s a Chinese saying, 病去新生 — leaving the sickness behind and stepping into a fresh new beginning.

So here’s to a healthier, happier year ahead, my little one👶🏻

We let Toto pick her own present🧸🎀

I think this is actually the first proper birthday gift we’ve ever bought for her since she was born😂

There were two bunnies waiting for her: one blue, one pink🩵🩷

Bert and I were 100% convinced she’d pick the blue one because… let’s be honest, it was cuter🤣

But she kept pointing at the pink one over and over again… so I guess that was her answer💗

So now Toto officially has her first chou chou.

Meet Tutu (兔兔)🐰

Toto & Tutu… I guess we accidentally created a matching duo✌🏼

One of my favourite moments from Toto’s first birthday🥹🤍

Before she woke up, we gathered all her favourite soft toys, tied on a few balloons, and placed everything right outside her bedroom door.

When she opened the door, she just… froze for a second👀

Then she spotted all her little friends, crawled out with the biggest smile, and papa and I started singing Happy Birthday.

I don’t know why, but this little moment means so much to me.

Just the three of us, celebrating the girl who changed our lives forever. No audience, no distractions—just our little family, soaking in her very first birthday morning together.

Finding a venue for Toto’s 1st birthday was honestly harder than I expec by @marilynmonru

I almost didn’t post this.

The first year of motherhood wasn’t what I imagined.

I loved my daughter with all my heart, but I was also struggling in ways I never expected.

365 days later, I’m so grateful I made it through those dark days.

If you’re a new mum and you’re just trying to survive today, you’re not alone.

THIS IS HOME

The unofficial NDP 2026 song.

The Singapore we live in today is vastly different from the one I grew up in 33 years ago. After a decade of making pop music, I found myself re-inspired by the rich culture that Singapore continues to nurture while setting the musical direction for Chingay 2026.

It reminded me of the importance of our social fabric, the beauty and intricacy of our multicultural heritage, and the remarkable journey Singapore has taken through its golden years to where we are today.

I wanted to share these stories and memories with @totokoei — to help her imagine the Singapore that our forefathers once knew, and the Singapore that shaped my own childhood. She may not fully understand it now, but perhaps one day, when she looks back, she’ll remember that she was part of this story too.

月子日记🌼
在月子中心的三十天真的好像三天那么快

我选择月子中心的要求是
1）一间标准的酒店房 king size大床我对睡觉的环境比较挑尤其是要住一个月

2）no visitor rule - 我唯一犹豫的点就是这家月子中心没有限制访客和探访时间因为选择入住月子中心就是想要好好休息减少打扰但和老公沟通后他愿意帮我拒绝除了爸妈以外的访客

3） 24小时托管式 - 宝宝主要在育婴室由护理师们照顾妈妈可以好好休息而且这里是12小时轮班制所以不用担心护理师们过度疲劳她们精神都很好每天笑嘻嘻😆

最后选择了My Queen
这是我看到有负评还是坚持相信自己的直觉入住的月子中心
*负评不是来自入住过的妈妈
当然一开始我的老公也是很担心但他还是完全尊重我的选择

My Queen月子中心位于Oasia Resort Sentosa
考虑到要住一个月我们选择了 Suite套房有独立客厅区域给老公工作我可以在房里休息酒店的大床超舒服我和我老公每天都睡得比在家里好发誓😂 newborn时期还能一觉到天亮真的是奢侈品等级的幸福

我们入住时酒店还很用心的布置了房间还有我们的照片好可爱🫶🏻 月子中心也在床边安了一个扶手超贴心开刀后自己爬起床时真的很需要

每天有人打扫洗衣毛巾和用品自动补满完全不用操心有一天清洁阿姨还问我几岁说我看起来像小孩子哈哈哈小孩子生小孩子咯😆

酒店靠近海边半个月后可以慢慢走了偶尔都会去海边散散步产后情绪都被照顾到了

每天早晚甚至半夜都会WhatsApp update：
🍼 喂奶时间
🧷 换尿布
⚖ 体重
📸 照片
偶尔半夜起来就会看到宝宝奶睡的照片或对护理师们扮鬼脸的视频知道宝宝被照顾得很好就特别安心继续睡到天亮

My Queen 控制入住人数让每个宝宝都能被细心照顾每一次自己搞不定宝宝时都会请护理人员过来宝宝一听到她们的声音就马上冷静了嗯宝宝是被用心照顾的

这里午餐晚餐是吃Chilli Padi的月子餐
我对月子餐没太讲究所以也不在意月子中心没有厨房现做有吃几口姜喝几口汤就好了剩余时间都溜出去买shake shack 喝chagee🙊

早餐是Bedrock的(酒店提供) 每天早上都送到房间可以选中式西式点心prata 可以吃一个月的酒店早餐幸福max 虽然半个月后就有点腻了可是还是幸福🤪

酒店Oasia spa的产后按摩值得一个版面
每一次都很期待按摩天产后的疲惫在那90分钟里被温柔地释放以前不喜欢全身按摩的我竟然爱上重新爱上全身按摩真心推荐是我去过的按摩中最好的其中一间

最后一个星期还有parent-craft 教我们帮宝宝洗澡和喂奶技巧从手忙脚乱升级到勉强镇定的新手爸妈模式

唯一的缺点是没有家属餐所以老公每天都需要去打包因为在sentosa 点delivery的话也送不进来但其实我的月子餐分量够两个人吃只是担心老公天天吃会上火

特别感谢所有细心又温柔的护理人员——Ah Yuan、Kuan Yu、Lixia、May、Mia、Nava、Siew Choo 和 Yong Yan 她们每一位都非常有耐心把我和宝宝照顾得很好

也要特别感谢老板娘Mei Ling 她每天都会发信息关心我她知道我是个大i人喜欢有自己的空间所以不会突然上门打扰这种刚刚好的关心不多不少让我感受到支持又不会有压力非常感恩

这是我生完宝宝后最美好的一个月睡得好吃得好宝宝被照顾得好连心情都被好好安放
之前快回家的那几天我都在希望时间别过那么快我想一辈子住那边🥹
