Meet Aimée-Marie Le Roi, our Fall Arts Education Intern!

A first-year graduate student in San José State University’s Master of Library Science program, Aimée-Marie is joining MCA to support our Arts Now Marin initiative, the new Arts Now Marin Education Grants program and programming for our upcoming Holiday Lights celebration.

Born and raised in the North Bay, Aimée-Marie earned a BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Management from Southern Oregon University in 2023. While living in Ashland, Oregon, they worked with several theatres and arts organizations, including the Oregon Fringe Festival, before returning to the North Bay in 2025.

We’re thrilled to have Aimée-Marie on the MCA team and excited to have their experience and passion for the arts supporting our local community!

Congratulations to Sara Gallagher, a recipient of a 2026 Marin Cultural Association Arts Grant!

Sara Gallagher is a Bay Area artist working in graphite, pastel, and mixed media. Her figurative work explores belonging, vulnerability, transition, and the relationship between private experience and collective life. She describes her evolving practice as Emotional Realism.

MCA Arts Grant funding supported Sara’s current body of work at her duo exhibition, Sanctuary, at CK Contemporary, exploring Marin residents’ connections to the local landscape and how it shapes their everyday lives.

“These figurative drawings will explore Marin residents’ connection to the local landscape and how it shapes their everyday lives. Amplifying our community’s voices means so much to me.”

MCA is proud to support artists creating work rooted in place, community, and personal experience. Learn more about the MCA Arts Grants program at our link in bio!

Before students can invent, engineer, or innovate, they need space to imagine.
Creative learning helps students practice how to think, how to explore possibilities, and how to work through uncertainty. Those habits of mind show up everywhere—in science, technology, and beyond.

As part of Spark Creativity for Brighter Futures, our year-long campaign with Create CA, they’re sharing a free, classroom-ready lesson plan designed to spark creative thinking right away.
