10 rounds of “are you kidding me?” 🥵 (spoiler: it was worth it for progress)

If you want to work on your speed during your marathon training, you have to be willing to get uncomfortable. This 10x30s intervals session is guaranteed to raise the heart rate. My favourite part was obviously the 30min easy run as a warmup 😂
Save this workout and let me know what you think!😉

Obsessed with my Yeti travel mug 😂 I take it everywhere! (and save money on coffee/tea, it’s a win)

Full week of training as a marathon runner 💪🏽

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to effectively prep for a race, here’s a glimpse at the blueprint: success is in the structure and the quality of your entire week, not just the single runs. You need to mix in speed, mobility, and endurance to build a strong, resilient body.

This week included: 50min endurance, hot pilates for strength and conditioning, a solid tempo session, and the mental battle of the long run. Trust the process. ✨

Autumn is definitely the best season for long walks. 🍂 Time slows down a bit, the dog gets extra muddy, and the battery feels fully charged. I also love the golden light and this perfect chill in the air. Bliss.

(I might even have been doing a little bit of scouting for my next trail runs 👀)

Throwback to May when life was less about deadlines and more about marathon week, clotted cream and views of Edinburgh Castle. Seriously craving a lovely afternoon tea right now!

Hello, autumn! 🍂 My ideal days look a lot like this: crisp country walk with my dog, finding the cosiest pub to read, and going for a run.
The “-ber” months at definitely my favourite time of the year!

Trail running in the rain with my chaotic dog 😜
I’m officially starting a new marathon training block because I’ve signed up for the @torinocitymarathon!

I guess it’s true that once you complete your first, you just can’t be stopped. (Still a little bit terrified by the idea of running 42km again)

That feeling when you find your happy place. 🙏🏽

There’s a lot of focus on times and distances in running, but sometimes it’s as simple as finding a moment of pure happiness. My best runs are the ones where I’m able to switch off my brain and just enjoy the present moment or the movement.

What makes you happy?

I’M A MARATHON FINISHER 🎉 And I managed to clock a sub-4h for my first marathon 🤩 3:57:12 | 5:34 min/km

14 weeks of hard work (using the @runmotion_global app) that paid off, and I’m absolutely buzzing with my result! The best part was crossing the finish line with my dad!

Not pictured: the challenging last 10km with wind and storm hails 😂 @edinburghmarathonfestival, you didn’t disappoint!
