Hi everyone, @marischafetz here for the final day of my takeover.

Closing things out by sharing another image from the work I’m making in my hometown. My family is hugely into dream interpretation, where attics and basements are highly symbolic.

Thanks all for following along! ❤️ by @marischafetz

Hi everyone, @marischafetz here for day 4 of my takeover. Thank you MAP6 for having me!

Today I want to share a small peek into some new work I’m making in my seaside hometown. I’m inspired by stories and images passed down through my matriarchal lineage. I love to imagine the time before widespread electricity, and what it felt like for my ancestors to navigate the night time in this landscape. This is sunflowers, fireflies, and moonlight. by @marischafetz

Hi everyone, @marischafetz here for day 3 of my takeover. Thank you MAP6 for having me!

Currently I am sharing some images from a series in progress, making portraits and landscapes in cemeteries. Generally I am interested in exploring myth and cultural archetypes as they relate to place - the cemetery is one of our cultures’ most potent sites of lore and mystery. I am particularly interested in New England’s 19th century cemeteries, which are park-like and full of Victorian drama and symbolism. by @marischafetz
