September marked one year of The Sunday Table. What started as a monthly roast lunch to brighten the doom of winter transformed into a regular highlight of the past year. Alternating hosts, lined up before the @nauticusbar music nights, lots of games of shit head and far too much wine & espresso martinis. It’s become a hot ticket in town for lucky guests and culminated in a long weekend away to celebrate the one year anniversary. Can’t wait for year two and what deliciousness it brings! First table hosted by me was an Aussie special of roast lamb, homemade mint sauce and tatties. @astridcarleton took charge of the second table with a delicious Beef Wellington The Sunday Table staples = shithead & espresso martinis A festive feast from @shirellep & Kyle featuring roast Goose! Starting a business doesn't always go to plan, and honestly, that's been the best part. This video is proof. Today marks one year of @shakercollective and this is the real footage: me on a bench, trying to look like I've got my shit together, trying, and mostly failing, to spray champagne. Feels about right for how year one actually went, a bit messy, a lot of fun, and worth celebrating either way. Evonne and I started this because we saw our industry deserved better than outdated tools and no real digital home. We've learned as we've gone, adapted when we needed to, and smiled through the highs and the lows. A year in, we've built something real and we couldn't be prouder of it. If you've been following along, thank you. If you work in hospitality and haven't joined yet, come find us. If you're a brand who wants to actually connect with this industry properly, let's talk. And if you just want to send me tips on how to spray champagne like Lando Norris, also welcome. Here's to year two 🥂 Thanks as always to @astridcarleton for being my personal videographer 🫶🏼 taken in Edinburgh, United Kingdom by @marissa__mj
