2 hours in the gym ≠ better results.

Most of the time, those marathon sessions are just junk volume — low intensity, too much filler work, and not enough focus.

You’ll grow more from 45 minutes of intentional, intense training than you will from twice as long of going through the motions.

Less time. More intensity. Better results.

If you want my exact training split that builds muscle without living in the gym - DM me the word “SPLIT” and I’ll send it to you for free. by @mark.emillion

3 Shocking Truths About Fasted Training You Need To Know ⚠️

Still training on an empty stomach thinking it’s helping?
Comment “MEAL” & I’ll DM you my go-to pre-workout meals that’ll help you show up fueled, focused, and full of strength.

1. Higher Cortisol Levels (Stress Hormone Spike) ⬆️
Training fasted jacks up cortisol — your body’s main stress hormone.
That spike can lead to fat storage (especially around your stomach) and muscle breakdown — especially if you’re already stressed or not sleeping well.
Stacking stress on top of stress? Not a smart game plan.

2. Weaker Performance in Strength & High-Intensity Workouts 🏋️‍♂️❌
Carbs = fuel.
If you’re skipping them, don’t be shocked when your lifts feel heavier and your energy tanks mid-set.
Fasted training can kill strength, endurance, and intensity — and slow your progress without you even realizing it.

3. Muscle Loss Risk (Especially in Prolonged Fasted States) ⚠️
If your body doesn’t have enough fuel, it starts pulling from the wrong places.
You’re not just under-eating… you’re undercutting your own progress.

Bottom Line:
Fasted training isn’t evil — but if you’re trying to lift heavier, stay lean, or build muscle, you better be fueling like it. Eating the right fast carbs pre-lift makes all the difference.

Comment “MEAL” and I’ll send you my exact pre-workout meals — easy, effective, and built for results.

1.	Electrolytes in my water - recycled airplane air dehydrates you fast. This keeps my energy and focus sharp before I even board.

2.	No airport food - all of it is processed junk designed to spike and crash you. Water and coffee only until I land.

3.	Walk to every gate no matter how far … you’re about to sit for hours. Get the steps in while you can. by @mark.emillion

Stop bulking and cutting every 6 weeks.

On paper, it makes sense.

Bulk to build muscle. Cut to lose fat.

But if you’re still early in your fitness journey and you keep bouncing between the two, you’re probably just spinning your wheels.

The switch that changed everything for me was simple:

I stopped trying to do both.

I got lean first.

Lean enough to actually see what I was working with. Lean enough to know what needed to grow. Lean enough to build from a real foundation instead of guessing.

Then I entered a proper growing phase.

Not a dirty bulk. Not eating whatever and calling it “building.”A real growth phase with structure by @mark.emillion

We sit behind a desk all day and wonder why we feel sluggish and slumped by lunch.

Your state of being does not change by itself. You have to change it.
One of the easiest ways I do that is a 10 minute walk on my lunch break. Outside. Sunshine. Fresh air.

It sounds simple because it is. But simple is not the same as easy when you are deep in a workday and your brain is telling you to just stay seated.

Do it anyway.

You will come back to your desk sharper, more energized, and in a completely different headspace than if you sat through the whole break. by @mark.emillion

The serving size on that zero calorie cooking spray is a quarter second. Nobody sprays for a quarter second.

The FDA lets companies round down to zero if a serving is under 5 calories. So they make the serving size small enough to call it nothing.

You’re drenching your pan thinking it’s free. It’s not. It’s adding up every single day without you knowing.

Check every label like this. Zero calories doesn’t mean zero calories. by @mark.emillion

Hard work won’t always make sense to the people around you.

They won’t always understand why you’re so locked in, why you’re making sacrifices, or why you keep showing up when there’s no reward yet.

And that’s okay.

Your path doesn’t need to make sense to everyone else for it to be the right one.

Keep going. Keep building. Keep becoming.
One day, the work you kept doing in silence will start speaking for itself. by @mark.emillion

Comment LEAN below and I’ll show you exactly where to start.

48 days until summer. I went from 218 to 170 working a full time job, work travel, and real life responsibilities.

These are the three things I locked in that actually
moved the needle.

You don’t need a perfect schedule. You don’t need life
to slow down. You need the right things locked in consistently,
even when it’s messy.

48 days is real time. Most men just spend it the wrong way. by @mark.emillion

If you sit at a desk all day…
this is why 10K steps feels impossible.

It’s not because you’re lazy.
It’s because you’re trying to “catch up” at the end of the day.

After 8+ hours of work…
your brain is fried
your energy is low
and now you expect yourself to go walk for an hour?

That’s where it falls apart.

Most people fail steps because they treat it like a workout…
instead of something that’s built into their day.

The fix isn’t more motivation.
It’s removing the need for it.

→ 5–10 min walks between meetings
→ quick laps while you’re on calls
→ parking further without thinking about it
→ stacking movement into your routine

You don’t need more time you just need to design your life a bit differently.

Because when your day gets busy…
your system is the only thing that keeps you consistent. by @mark.emillion

I always pushed so hard for the goal, thinking the accomplishment itself was the main thing. But the older I get, the more I realize the bigger thing was always the person I had to become to even hold it.

Because getting something is one thing… being mature enough, disciplined enough, and solid enough to carry it is another.

The goal matters, of course, but the patience, resilience, and identity built along the way matter even more. That’s the part nobody talks about enough. by @mark.emillion

“Wanting to get in shape” usually isn’t enough.

Because the second life gets stressful, busy, or uncomfortable… looking better won’t always feel urgent enough to keep going.

For me, it had to become deeper.

I was tired of half-assing things.
Tired of knowing I had more in me.
Tired of letting myself down and pretending I was okay with it.

The body was just the proof.

The real goal was becoming someone I could respect. by @mark.emillion

Leg day before my parents get into town.

Excited to have them here, but the work still gets done first.

Today’s lower body session:
Walking Lunges
Seated Hamstring Curl
Pendulum Squat
Single-Leg Leg Press
Leg Extension
RFE Split Squat — glute focus

Quick lift, high intent, no wasted sets.

The goal is simple: build a body and a mindset that doesn’t fall apart just because life gets busy. by @mark.emillion
