Back in the summer, I worked on this illustration for Corporate knights for a feature about digital nomadism and the hidden impact of working from “paradise” — from housing and local communities to waste and the environment.

Really enjoyed packing this Bali scene with lots of little details.

New mock illustration based on a NYT article, created during my Adobe Creative Mentorship Program, with a focus on making a cleaner, simpler spot illustration compared to the pieces in my portfolio.

I’ve been so lucky to be paired with an illustrator I’ve admired for a long time, @hello_timalexander . I never thought we would get to meet in the same room. During our sessions, Tim looked over my portfolio, gave me thoughtful advice on how to improve, shared early-career tips, and answered so many questions I was curious about.

So grateful for the chance to learn from him through this program. Thank you again to wonderful @chiuk.a for putting this together.

Sharing my illustration for @the_mortar_magazine , along with some process work. The piece is based on a story about grief, performance, and a role that won’t let go.

Thank you so much to @hcatford and Steve for the opportunity! by @mark_art_z

On The Mortar this morning we're sharing Typecast, a dark and tense story from @extrateethmag about a staged encounter in a cafe. An out-of-work actor is relishing the challenge of an unusual job, but when his artifice comes up against pure emotion the script goes out of the window, and so does his sense of control. You can read the whole story by @katiehauthor and see the full illustration by @mark_art_z on The Mortar now (link in bio...) by @mark_art_z

Still so happy this concept was picked for @adobe 99U!🤓🌈✨

I was commissioned by the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship to create a poster for Adobe’s 99U conference, which took place on June 4th, 2026. My concept is brain aliens pulling everyone into their creative mode — showing how creativity can take over and bring us into another universe. 👽💗🐄

Huge thank you to @taras.community , @chiuk.a and @adobelive for having me. I’m also grateful to Tina Roth Eisenberg from Creative Mornings for providing feedback on the projects，which made this experience even more special.

Huge thank you to Lorraine for her guidance and support, thank you to Sheridan Illustration, and thank you to @anko_ant — awarded the Nick Meglin Scholarship 💅 — for taking this photo. ✨

Last spread from this series! For this one, I wanted to create a travel journal-style piece inspired by Seth H.’s Backpacking Gros Morne National Park video. I’ve been wanting to draw a map for so long, so this felt like the perfect chance to finally do it. 🤓After finishing this piece, I want to visit Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland so badly.

Paddles up! 🛶

This spread is about the strange, funny chaos that can happen on the water. Kayaks turn into tiny social spaces, everyone moves at their own pace, and the lake becomes a place for drifting, eating, relaxing, and figuring things out as you go.

Third spread from my outdoor thesis project.⛺️🌲🪾

This one is about camping food safety and how your cooler can accidentally become an open invitation for wildlife. In the quiet of the forest night, the smell of leftover food can travel far, so storing food properly is just as important as packing it.

🥾 👠 My second spread focuses on how to dress for a hike. The main idea is to prioritize practical clothing first, rather than wearing something that only looks pretty but feels uncomfortable in the wild. I learned this the hard way after wearing the wrong clothing on a hike once. I got sweaty, felt chilly afterward, and ended up catching a cold for a whole week. That’s why the science of layering is so important. It helps you adjust to changing temperatures and stay comfortable on the trail.

🕶️Have you spotted Anna Wintour in the crowd?

For my winter thesis, I created five magazine spreads around outdoor adventures, covering camping, paddling, road trips, backcountry travel, and trail experiences. This first spread focuses on why people should avoid driving at night, especially during outdoor trips where fatigue, low visibility, and unfamiliar roads can make driving more dangerous.

This thesis was a lot of fun, and I felt it had more clarity and direction during the process than my previous thesis project. Big thanks again to Lorraine for pushing me to bring out the chaos, humor, and energy in the work.
