If you are receiving a DEKA WC invitation, it starts with this code I wrote.

This is 2103 lines long and is just 1 of 10 codes needed for the various races. Shown here is the Deka Strong Individual code. The teams coding was much more difficult due to duplicates and racers being on multiple teams.

Thank you @rapberry for the awesome pics from the @f1fgym Deka Strong and Mile. I still can’t decide if the color or B&W are my favorites!

The head-to-head competition was a fun format.

I had a great time talking to @jasonparry75. It was like we were old friends.

@cameron__moreland runs a great gym and great competitions.

The week before I had a 4 Deka events at @showcasefitness and really enjoyed meeting Jose and his members. Great gym and people if you are a n San Antonio.

Next up Boise Spartan and workshop, Hawaii Spartan and workshop, and the Raleigh Deka Fit. Three weekends in a row. by @mark_richins

I can’t get into a deep squat AND have flat feet any more because my knee won’t bend enough- so, I turn slightly sideways. I also keep my arms straight because if I bend them, and pull myself close, I go to my toes and slide down.

I skip holes if I can. I move my arms, then I move my legs. That way, my legs are below me and I can push off of them to reach higher. If my legs get ahead of me, they will swing back and down if I try to reach higher with my hands.

For those wondering: I built this out of melamine and I think it’s slicker than the Spartan Olympus panels.

Best way to do cargo net ground crawl? Don’t. Avoid it and pick a race where they don’t have it. 🤣🤣🤷🏼‍♂️

Knee sleeves ✅
Gloves ✅(especially on cold days to keep your hands warm, but also to help keep them clean for gripping overhead obstacles)
Head down; butt up✅ follow a strap line and it will slide over your butt and not catch on your head.

Overwalls- on the top of the wall, pivot on your chest

Slick wall- when you run up the wall, keep your body position perpendicular to the surface. This keeps your feet flat and more surface area of your shoe, on the wall.
