Variations Vol.3
A @greenkeyrecords label project 💚🗝️

This 17-track collab album features 20+ artist interpretations - "VARIATIONS" - on a single composition: @f_l_y_i_n_g_zulu & @mllemerle 's "it's a mess outside"

Each collaborating artist takes the original track's stems and chooses a few to build a new song around - this becomes their "variation" on the theme

The entire album is a monstrously diverse and unique listening experience, not driven by playlist ambitions, genre conformity, or artist censorship. Rather, the artists who contribute to the "Variations" series seek community, freedom of expression, and originality of sound & style

@greenkeyrecords 💚🗝️ is a small, artist-focused record label based in Minneapolis, USA, with branches in Norrköping, Sweden, and Toulouse, France

Distribution support by @downtownmusicpublishing

ALBUM RELEASE PARTY 🎉

I'll be at Showtime Studio & Coffee on SATURDAY NIGHT!!
September 26
6pm

This is the final show in our Summer & Fall TOUR of 2026 and I'm super excited to share music from my new folk/blues project, A Day Is Just A Day.

It's been out for a few months now and I couldn't be happier about playing these songs live - especially with the full band: @cscottmester on keys, Glenn Olson on bass, Kosh on Drums, Burt Caper on pedal steel, and @mmcgarthwaite on electric guitar.

Joining us will be folk artist @joeweckwerth_ and he'll be doing an opening set at 6:30. I got a chance to play with Joe a few months back at a singer-songwriter showcase in St Paul, and I'm super jazzed about hearing his thought-provoking, humor-laced music again ✅

No cover charge for this event, gang - It's a PARTY 🎉

Some food & drinks will be provided and there's some very cool new
MERCH & MUSIC to peep - hope you can make it!

THANK YOU, HOLDINGFORD!

Had an amazing time in #holdingfordmn at @artinmotion.mn playing songs from the new album 💿

Holdingford is a FARM community in central Minnesota where my beloved Aunt & Uncle live 🐓🐖🐮

S/O's

🙌🏼 Cousin Paul for his most EPIC restoration of our Grandpa's 1953 Imternational pickup truck

🙌🏼 Uncle Ken for the yarn spinning at my show (most of it painfully true)

🙌🏼 @dickschirmacher for crashing my setlist with the qualified request to do "our signature song" (Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World) - with the maestro on piano, it was hard to resist

🙌🏼 The crew at @artinmotion.mn for the good food, gig support, and super GROOVY environment

Live music is still alive and well, have us back sometime, Holdingford 💚

The Book: "A Day Is Just A Day Listening Companion"
@garden.house.girl @libbywilsman

With these 10 songs, I'm trying to slow down time, examine the Questions, Conclusions, and Constants throughout my life as a parent and citizen of planet Earth.

Introspective, frolicking, melancholy, and easy-going, the vibe of this record feels natural and expressive - like a fresh breath after spending the last 6 years underwater.

These songs lean into the Blues & Folk traditions that shaped me as an early guitar player & songwriter.

Pics from my recent trip to Ireland 🍀

An amazing country, green and lush, full of history, and the people - I can't wait to go back and see more of this magical island ✈️

My wife and I went to see the great Irish folk-rock band The Hothouse Flowers, and spent a week driving and hiking around the splendid natural & historical sites of Wexford, Trim, Glendalough, and The Boyne Valley 🇮🇪

Highlights: Neolithic site of Newgrange, discovering the music of Irish legend Rory Gallagher, drinking Guinness at Mary's Pub in Wexford, Trim Castle (1172 AD) in the city of Trim, and walking the lovely & expansive beach at Curracloe (where Saving Private Ryan was filmed), and standing outside the gates of Slane Castle where U2 recorded their ambient-rock masterpiece, Unforgettable Fire 🔥

So much 💚 and respect for the people and this place - until next time 🙏🏼🍀🇮🇪

"My Child" out now

The third single from my upcoming album
A Day Is Just A Day, My Child is a special song about seeing your kids move around in the world w/o you 💔

Tiziana Hiller - @godzhiller - added violins to this song and brought it into a deeper space, more melancholic than it already was 🎻

Available to stream and share on all the thingies

Full album due out in June 🎾🐝🐸🦝😎🍉⛱️

Released in collaboration with @greenkeyrecords 💚🗝️
A pan-genre label focused on electronic, ambient, and folk music 🎧
