A lot of California driving laws are easy to overlook... until you're pulled over or something goes wrong.

From window tint and license plates to California's expanded “Slow Down, Move Over” law, knowing the rules is part of keeping yourself and others safe on the road.

Hispanic Heritage Month is personal for me.

I’m proud of my Mexican heritage and the family history and values that have shaped who I am, both personally and professionally.

My parents met in Mexico, and growing up with both Mexican and Jewish roots gave me an appreciation for different cultures, traditions and communities. It also shaped something I carry into my work every day: people deserve to feel heard, understood and represented.

At Bloom Injury Law, I’m proud to serve clients throughout El Segundo, the South Bay and Greater Los Angeles, including our Spanish-speaking community.

This month, I’m celebrating the generations of Latino families, business owners, leaders and neighbors who have helped make Los Angeles what it is today, and I’m proud to be part of that story.

✨ As we welcome Rosh Hashanah and the High Holidays, we are reminded of the power of renewal—and of our responsibility to care for one another and our community.
The words of Isaiah feel especially meaningful during this season:
“Share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter; when you see the naked, clothe them, and do not turn away from your own flesh and blood.”
— Isaiah 58:7
May the new year inspire us not only to hope for a better world, but to help build one—with compassion, generosity, service, and action.
Wishing you and your loved ones a meaningful High Holiday season and a happy, healthy, and sweet New Year. 🍎🍯

As we celebrate freedom, family, and country, please stay safe:

• Designate a sober driver or use a rideshare service.
• Do not text and drive.
• Wear your seatbelt.
• Watch for distracted or impaired drivers.
• Follow local fireworks laws.
• Keep children away from fireworks.
• Use fireworks only in open areas.
• Never point fireworks at another person.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.

June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day — a reminder that protecting older adults means protecting their safety, dignity, health, and financial security.

At Bloom Law, we know elder abuse is not always obvious. It can include:

• Physical abuse
• Nursing home neglect
• Poor or unsafe care
• Medication errors
• Falls caused by lack of supervision
• Financial exploitation, scams, or misuse of funds

Financial abuse can be just as devastating as physical harm. Warning signs may include sudden account changes, unusual withdrawals, confusion about transactions, pressure from a caregiver or family member, or an older adult becoming isolated from trusted loved ones.

Families can help by staying involved, checking in often, encouraging account security, organizing important legal and financial documents, and reporting concerns to Adult Protective Services, law enforcement, or financial institutions when something does not feel right.

Our seniors cared for families, built communities, and paved the way for future generations. They deserve protection, respect, and accountability.

If an elderly loved one has been harmed, neglected, exploited, or abused — physically, financially, or through negligent care — it may be time to ask questions and take action.

Better Call Bloom.

Honored to support the restoration of The Plunge, one of El Segundo’s most historic and beloved community landmarks.

As the facility reopens today, the Bloom and Doerner families are proud to help preserve a place that has brought generations of swimmers, athletes and families together.

The project holds special meaning for us, as it honors two family members with remarkable swimming legacies:

🏊 Morris A. Bloom — a record-breaking New Jersey swimmer known for the most miles swum in the state.

🏅 Herman Doerner — an Australian Olympian who competed in both swimming and water polo.

Thank you to the City of El Segundo and everyone who helped bring this important community space back to life.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: The search for the real Mark J. Bloom may finally be over!

For years, if I Googled "Mark Bloom," one of the first results was this guy: Mark J. Bloom — former professional soccer player, college coach, and all-around athlete. ⚽

Well, this weekend at CA Smash, I finally met him in person. As fate would have it, he's standing immediately to my left in this photo.

The similarities are becoming difficult to ignore:
✅ Athletic background
✅ Competitive nature
✅ Mark J. Bloom

The differences:
⚽ He played professional soccer/fútbol.
🎾 I chased balls around courts for most of my racquetiste life.

After a thorough investigation, we've concluded that there may, in fact, be two solid Mark J. Blooms kicking butt on earth. Great meeting you @markbloom28 @mikeyambrose5 and Legacy Capital Advisors!
