There’s lots of pressure as a business owner to constantly be pushing out and creating content. How on earth can one consistently be creating unique original ideas (especially if you are not creatively inclined) The result of this is in our feeds (mine at least anyway) - the exact same media - everywhere. Every genre, every rant, every skit, every piece of art, every fake news post, every opinion and every matcha. Interesting times by @markcrotti

If this topic interests you, please watch the whole video. Firstly - the fact APRA exists is incredible. Knowing there is a company out there that can get money back to artists in any capacity is amazing and it feels very conflicting bringing these issues up. I don’t reckon Onemusics approach with small businesses is the right play (more to come on this) - Most venues want to support the arts but It seems the fees are way too high especially for the smaller venues. Also a big question I have is, are there many independent musicians out there who have had success with rotation on these BMS platforms? And how many of you are there? If there’s thousands of indie artists who are benefiting adequately from this, then I’ll be the first to let you all know that. This post is intended to encourage solutions. It’s clear there needs to be a change, right now it feels as if small businesses and the arts are being pinned against each other (at the hand of large corporations - intentional or not) ❤️ by @markcrotti
