The Team! What an honour to have these incredible people around me! I would never have dreamed that this career choice would have led me to all of this! And being able to give the people I love opportunities at the same time is EVERYTHING to me! Hi, I’m Maiyah 👋 A long overdue introduction… 😅 As most of you know, I’m the daughter of @alarabrowdesign + @ziggynaturalproducts, but I’m also the face behind MarkedByMaiyz. My journey into the tattoo industry began a little differently to most. I was originally an Engineering student while building my own Hair Braiding & Barbering business another one of the incredible skills my super woman mum taught me, before giving me an opportunity to create something I could truly be passionate about. I started Learning tattooing with @linebyj at 17 and, if I’m honest, I was very hesitant at first. But with my mum’s support and encouragement, I stuck with it, developed my skills, and found a real love for the industry. Alongside building my own brand, I also work as my mum’s personal assistant and camera man, which has given me an incredible insight into what it takes to build a successful business from the ground up. Today, I’m a Fine Line Tattoo Artist specialising in dainty, delicate, and meaningful pieces. I love creating tattoos that tell a story, hold a memory, or simply make someone feel more like themselves. For the past year I’ve been building my portfolio, refining my craft, and creating my content behind the scenes. Now it’s time to share the journey.🤗 Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far. There was a time when this career felt very quiet…. Permanent makeup can be a lonely path. Long days behind the chair, hours of practice, problem solving on your own, building something slowly and hoping it grows into what you dream it might become. If you had told me back then that one day I would be introducing a whole team… I honestly wouldn’t have believed you 🤯 Building a team is a huge responsibility. It’s exciting, but it’s also scary. You carry the weight of wanting to support people properly, to give them opportunities, to create an environment where everyone can grow, and most importantly to never let anyone down. But standing here now, looking at what we’ve built together, I feel nothing but pride✨ Every single person in this video has played a part in shaping what Alara Brow Design is today. Their talent, dedication and belief in what we’re building has turned something that once felt like a solo journey into something much bigger. A special thank you to Jordan, who has put in countless hours behind the scenes, helping streamline this business and supporting it as it continues to grow. The work she’s done has been instrumental in allowing everything here to flourish. What I’m most proud of isn’t just the treatments we offer, it’s the people. When you interact with our business, whether you’re booking an appointment, asking a question, training with us or coming in for a treatment, you may speak with any member of the team. Every single person here shares the same goal - to make sure you feel supported, looked after and receive the very best experience possible. Queens Night VLOG! Day 1! What an amazing day! I always say it but…..competing for something you love is just incredible. The feeling you get, the way it pushes you, everyone should do it at least once. Maiyah might not have won but she was a winner in my eyes! She worked so hard. I’ve never been so proud!
