Jeg bukker og takker for lydhørhed i en tid hvor støjen er omsiggribende. Confluencia er et værk der i allerhøjeste grad lever og ånder i kraft af de medvirkendes greb om de skrevne toner. Tak! Solborg/Banke/Heebøll + Søndergaard på efterårsturné ヽ(´o｀； Her i efteråret har vi været så heldige at få en koncert på Frederiksberg og en sviptur til det Nordjyske i kalenderen. Vi glæder os til at møde publikum på KU.BE, Center for Dansk Jazzhistorie i Aalborg og Maskinhallen i Frederikshavn. All That skrev tidligere i år: “Det er ret så uovertruffent, ..og det er helt rigtigt set, at bandet ikke bare jern ‘er igennem […] men hele tiden holder tilbage, giver plads til hver en lille mislyd, de fire musikere masserer ud af deres instrumenter, Alene de nye numre blandt flere skrevet specifikt til den kvartet, de nu er, giver mig pænt store forhåbninger for de indspilninger med kvartetten, Mark Solborg lover er på vej.” ..og den er god! Nok vi glæder os til at dele de nye 3D optagelser fra vores samarbejde med Peter Barnow og Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i foråret på ILK Music labelet. Indtil da kan man høre de nye værker live rundt i hele landet. Hands in Europe and Brooklyn ヽ(´o｀； The past week the new Hands album w. Almut Kühne, Francesco Bigoni and yours truly was featured among a beautiful selection in the Europe Jazz Media Chart September - made by reviewers and magazines across Europe and hosted by @europejazznet. Matthieu Jouan from @citizenjazz writes: “The music is reminiscent of chamber music — both masterful and expressive. This project, like all of Solborg’s, is also deeply meaningful. It is music that affirms that we are always alive, no matter what happens!” Thanks for listening Matthieu! Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026 .. ...was great! So happy that we managed to bring all these beautiful artists together in Copenhagen. ...can't figure out if it was the audience who burst into tears over Susana Santos Silva's playing and spoken words at the ILK / 5e stage, DR Koncerthuset with the TUNGEMÅL Confluencia Quartet and Ingar Zachs amazing percussive soundscapes, a burning Viktoria Søndergaard at Picniq (in the rain ;-) and 5e, Michaela Turcerová and Simon Toldam, meeting old friends Emanuele Maniscalco and Francesco Bigoni or the HANDS release concert at KoncertKirken with Almut Kühne that hit the high note for me... ...luckily I don't have to choose. It was all intense, all different and I felt truly privileged to play my music with such incomparable artists. ...and with such focused and engaged audiences. Thanks for coming out! Løgstrup writes: “We never have anything to do with another human being without holding something of their life in our hands.” Hands remain humanity’s primary physical interface with the world. With them, we act, create, and make physical contact with one another: we caress, strike, kill, signal, give, receive, conduct - and much more. In a world where many people interact without ever being physically present together, we want to highlight the deeper and more nuanced communication that emerges when we see, touch, and hear one another in the same space. HANDS contains both fully composed works and structured improvisations. Drawing on compositions, texts, and concepts by all participants, the group explores the relationship between movement and sound. An intense contemporary chamber musical expression that crosses genres, coloured by Kühne’s exceptional voice and surgical precision, Bigoni’s motion-controlled processing, and Solborg’s prepared 6- and 12-string guitars. With this release, we invite you into a unique musical expression: 13 contrapuntal works across three EPs - mesmerising and intense pieces from both studio sessions and live performances, accompanied by short films. Copenhagen Jazz Festival day 7 Todays agenda holds an appearance at the ILK Music / 5e stage that I've been looking forward to. Solborg/ Banke / Heebøll + Viktoria Søndergaard playing a bunch of new tunes for an upcoming album. The group has been working intensely with sound engineer Peter Barnow and his research into immersive recording. The 5e room is another acoustic story - but we're totally up for diving in with you. With them we act, create and make physical contact with one another: We caress, strike, kill, signal, give, receive, conduct and much more. In a world where many people interact without ever being in physical contact, we want to highlight the deeper and more nuanced communication that takes place when we see, touch, and hear each other in the same space.. The versatile chamber trio consists of German vocalist and composer Almut Kühne, saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Francesco Bigoni, and bandleader, guitarist and composer Mark Solborg. Over the past years, the group has developed an intense, contemporar y chamber musical expression across genres, colored by Kühne’s exceptional voice and surgical precision, Bigoni’s motion-controlled processing, and Solborg’s prepared 6- and 12-string guitars. Selected performances include Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Cologne Jazzweek, Nordische Botschaften in Berlin and the Willumsen Museum in Frederikssund (DK). Copenhagen Jazzfestival Day 4 After a - in many ways beautiful - afternoon at @picniq.dk in Valbyparken (Thanks for joining us under the umbrellas) - the menu of the day holds a late night concert at the ILK Music 5e stage. The TUNGEMÅL trio feat. Michaela Turcerová and Simon Toldam plays a set with works from our fall tour of DK and France. In Strassbourg, at the great Jazzdor festival, we had quite a blast in the Planetarium du Jardin des Sciences, adding sound and music to a 360° show made for the occasion.. 5e is something else ;-) .. closer and much more intimate. Really looking forward. ♪( ´θ｀)ノ The ILK Music program of the night also holds great music by Laura Toxværd, Sture Ericson, Asger Thomsen, Margaux Oswald and Hein Westgaard.
