Anders Banke · Tenor saxofon og klarinetter Mark Solborg · Guitar Bjørn Hebøll · Trommer og percussion + Viktoria Søndergaard · vibrafon --- Find dine billetter her - Ku.Be, Frederiksberg: https://kube.frederiksberg.dk/arrangementer/ilk-x-kube-solborgbankeheeb%C3%B8ll-s%C3%B8ndergaard%C2%A0 CDJ, Aalborg: https://fb.me/e/5aMZO5T98 Maskinhallen, Frederikshavn: https://maskinhallen.dk/program/solborg-banke-heeboell-soendergaard/

Hands in Europe and Brooklyn ヽ(´o｀； The past week the new Hands album w. Almut Kühne, Francesco Bigoni and yours truly was featured among a beautiful selection in the Europe Jazz Media Chart September - made by reviewers and magazines across Europe and hosted by @europejazznet. Matthieu Jouan from @citizenjazz writes: “The music is reminiscent of chamber music — both masterful and expressive. This project, like all of Solborg’s, is also deeply meaningful. It is music that affirms that we are always alive, no matter what happens!” Thanks for listening Matthieu! On another note Ludovico Granvassu at @mondo_jazz, @radiofreebk and @allaboutjazzmedia put together this nice playlist including a track from the album (+ a beautiful appearance by Bigoni and the Weave4 project with Delbecq, Diodati and Steve Arguelles). “A daring form of chamber-experimentalism bringing together Kühne’s acrobatic vocals, Bigoni’s reeds and motion controlled processing and Solborg’’s fractured guitars and electronics.” https://www.allaboutjazz.com/phoenix-trio-ragini-trio... Hands is available physically on @bandcamp, at the @ilkmusic web-shop and can be streamed on most platforms. Have a nice day!

Copenhagen Jazz Festival day 8 Today, friday July 10th the chamber trio HANDS meets at KoncertKirken for concert, a toast and celebration of our recent debut release on the ILK label. Join in at 20:00. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Lineup: Almut Kühne · voice Francesco Bigoni · clarinet & motion-controlled processing Mark Solborg · guitar & electronics —//— Danish author K.E. Løgstrup writes: “We never have anything to do with another human being without holding something of their life in our hands.” Hands remain humanity’s primary physical interface with the world. With them, we act, create, and make physical contact with one another: we caress, strike, kill, signal, give, receive, conduct - and much more. In a world where many people interact without ever being physically present together, we want to highlight the deeper and more nuanced communication that emerges when we see, touch, and hear one another in the same space. HANDS contains both fully composed works and structured improvisations. Drawing on compositions, texts, and concepts by all participants, the group explores the relationship between movement and sound. An intense contemporary chamber musical expression that crosses genres, coloured by Kühne’s exceptional voice and surgical precision, Bigoni’s motion-controlled processing, and Solborg’s prepared 6- and 12-string guitars. With this release, we invite you into a unique musical expression: 13 contrapuntal works across three EPs - mesmerising and intense pieces from both studio sessions and live performances, accompanied by short films. HANDS offers beauty, humour, and edge for both newcomers and specialists alike. We’ve also included a short film from the studio sessions by the fabulous Fredrik Auster. Enjoy! —//— Buy the Vinyl or CD via the ILK webshop or @bandcamp, or listen on streaming services. —//— This album and general activities have been supported by @statenskunstfond, @kodakultur and @musikforlaeggerne, @augustinusfonden, Dansk Kapelmesterforening, @dmf_danskmusikerforbund, @jazzdanmark, Neustart, Birgitte Tovborg Jensen at the The Royal Danish Embassy Berlin and @goetheinstitut_daenemark. Thank you!

Release it! This upcoming Friday we're celebrating the release of HANDS on ILK Music with a concert and a toast at KoncertKirken. Line-up: Almut Kühne · voice Francesco Bigoni · clarinet & motion controlled processing Mark Solborg · guitar & electronics Hands are (still) humanity’s primary physical interface with the world. With them we act, create and make physical contact with one another: We caress, strike, kill, signal, give, receive, conduct and much more. In a world where many people interact without ever being in physical contact, we want to highlight the deeper and more nuanced communication that takes place when we see, touch, and hear each other in the same space.. The versatile chamber trio consists of German vocalist and composer Almut Kühne, saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Francesco Bigoni, and bandleader, guitarist and composer Mark Solborg. Over the past years, the group has developed an intense, contemporar y chamber musical expression across genres, colored by Kühne’s exceptional voice and surgical precision, Bigoni’s motion-controlled processing, and Solborg’s prepared 6- and 12-string guitars. Selected performances include Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Cologne Jazzweek, Nordische Botschaften in Berlin and the Willumsen Museum in Frederikssund (DK). Eyal Hareuveni for Percorsi Musicali : " thoughtful, deep listening, and layered interplay with [..] immediate, tangible impact." ---- The evenings program at Koncertkirken is quite something (!) Visits by Kaja Draksler, Andreas Røysum, Lotte Anker, Ivar Myrset Asheim and from Germany Burkhard Beins and Christof Kurzmann... ...there's really nowhere I'd rather be ٩( ᐛ )و

Copenhagen Jazzfestival Day 4 After a - in many ways beautiful - afternoon at @picniq.dk in Valbyparken (Thanks for joining us under the umbrellas) - the menu of the day holds a late night concert at the ILK Music 5e stage. The TUNGEMÅL trio feat. Michaela Turcerová and Simon Toldam plays a set with works from our fall tour of DK and France. In Strassbourg, at the great Jazzdor festival, we had quite a blast in the Planetarium du Jardin des Sciences, adding sound and music to a 360° show made for the occasion.. 5e is something else ;-) .. closer and much more intimate. Really looking forward. ♪( ´θ｀)ノ The ILK Music program of the night also holds great music by Laura Toxværd, Sture Ericson, Asger Thomsen, Margaux Oswald and Hein Westgaard. Join in ! --- Photos by Teona Goreci and @cap30dk

Copenhagen Jazz Festival - day 2 ...yesterday we had the rare and beautiful experience: A couple from the audience was moved to tears at the @ilkmusic 5e stage. "..we didn't expect to be touched like this at all, but suddenly..". Me neither - imagine being so open to unknown impressions. Thank you so much, dear audience - without you the music would be half of what it is. Stay Tender ❤︎. Today the room is much larger, but the intensions are the same. Creating a joint listening room for everybody present. ..et fælleskab. Join TUNGEMÅL and the Confluencia quartet feat. Susana Santos Silva, MS, Simon Toldam and Ingar Zach at @drkoncerthuset , studie 3 this evening at 20:30. Tickets: https://www.drkoncerthuset.dk/kalender/2026/mark-solborg-tungemaal/ Previous writings on Confluencia and TUNGEMÅL ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎ “..a new central work in Danish music.” and “A powerful achievement that sets both my body and mind in motion. ..just look, hope is still alive.” - David Dyrholm, Politiken (DK) “What makes the album truly powerful is precisely what many experimental releases lack: space for contemplation and dialogue with the listener. Tungemål dares to be experimental without overpowering itself”. - Simon Heggum, Seismograf (DK) “Good news from Denmark once again! .. It is a work that is as musical as it is architectural and a coherent whole.” - Matthieu Jouan, Europe Jazz Media Chart June 2025
