Day 2 of Spocktober and today I have drawn the deadly ape creature, the Mugato. I’ll be drawing a mixture of photo reference stuff for some of these and my own interpretation as well. This one is available for purchase.#spocktober2026 #mugato #startrektos #aprivatelittlewar by @markstegbauer

Welcome to October, or should I say,…Spocktober! It’s 31 days of Star Trek! For day 1 I have drawn Gary Mitchell. All of these pieces I’m doing are 3 x 4.5 and are $35 each plus shipping
I was hoping to do all of these in watercolor, but I may have to reconsider hat. I did this piece very differently than how I’ve done watercolor in the past. I did pencils, then paint, and then inks. It was a lot tougher. I’ve never taken a proper watercolor class. I have a ton of books but I’ve never really gone through them. I’ve just kind of started painting. I may do the next one in marker and then switch it up over the course of the month.
Anyway, here’s Gary. He is available for purchase.
