Last week, Julian & I spent a beautiful, nourishing week in Maui 🌈 with friends and loved ones. See our pics & vids here ⬆️

Then, upon our return to Santa Barbara, we both came down with COVID. 😅

At the peak of the illness, Saturday morning, I was set to deliver a 2 hour Masterclass.

So when I woke up feeling like a trainwreck…

I practiced what I teach: engage in the ✨inner conversation✨ between me & my higher self and ask, “What’s the highest choice for all involved?”

“Am I well enough to lead this masterclass?”
“Do I call in sick, cancel the class, reschedule?”

Essentially, “how do I proceed?”

Here’s what I heard:

“Get dressed, show up, I’ll handle the rest.”

My higher self took the wheel.

She also had support:

The past version of me had already finished the slide show in advance; my team had my back ready to help in any way; and I knew I could rest as soon as the class was complete.

Developing the level of TRUST with oneself and living in SURRENDER to whatever arises is a practice to live by.

The Masterclass went beautifully, maybe even more so because my ego was in the back seat taking a nap. 💤 ♥️

These ✨inner conversations✨ are the foundation of what I teach.

They are pivotal for enrolling premium clients at what I call “Unreasonable Rates.”

Why?

Because transformation goes beyond reason & logic.

When you help clients achieve unreasonable & transformative results through working with you, it’s appropriate to be charging Unreasonable Rates.

If you’ve been playing around with the idea of raising your rates and are ready to be in trust & surrender that, with guidance, there are absolutely clients who will invest with you at that level…

You may be interested in joining my 12 week training. We just started this week (I’m feeling so much better now and I was able to host Week 1 with only one coughing fit! 🥳)

You can enroll in Unreasonable Rates through this upcoming Monday 9/28.

What happens when highly sensitive, intuitive practitioners are financially wealthy? 🌱✨

We grow communities.

We take time off to rest & rejuvenate.

We nourish our bodies with healthy, organic foods and products.

We take spa days (or weeks 😏) with the people we love.

We travel and spread good energy.

We invest in conscious organizations doing good work in the world.

We offer services for free or at lower rates because we CAN — without sacrificing ourselves to do it.

We volunteer. We join Advisory Boards. We contribute our gifts where they’re needed.

We play. We create with our hands.

We buy things that are ethically sourced and regenerative for the planet and the systems we participate in.

We opt out of extractive models.

And we have more space to be relaxed in our nervous systems — becoming a force of co-regulation for the people around us.

This is part of why I want highly sensitive, intuitive practitioners to make SO MUCH MONEY.

Money in the hands of conscious humans creates possibilities. 🌎

And you do not necessarily need hundreds of clients to create that kind of wealth.

You may simply need to be paid more appropriately for the extraordinary work you’re already doing.

Want to learn how to earn thousands more per client — in high integrity — for your intuitive coaching services?

Come to my FREE Unreasonable Rates Masterclass. ✨

I’m teaching it LIVE twice:

🌱 Tomorrow, 9/8 at 11am PT
🌱 Wednesday, 9/9 at 3pm PT

Long before I was charging premium rates for coaching and consulting…

… I was charging premium rates as a birth and postpartum doula in Los Angeles.

And I didn’t advertise.

My business was 100% word of mouth.

I’d support someone through a birth.
They’d tell their pregnant friends.
Their friends would hire me.

Turns out, pregnant women know other pregnant women.

Then someone I knew found out she was pregnant… with twins. 🍼 🍼

I had about six months before the babies arrived, and I decided:

I’m going to become the twin specialist.

So I started accepting only twin births.

In fact, I referred all the single-baby gigs to my doula colleagues.

I wanted TWINS.

I wanted enough experience that by the time she gave birth, I’d know exactly what I was doing.

And something else happened:

I became known as the twin doula.

People knew who to send the twin pregnancies to including the doctors, nurses, husbands, and relatives.

That’s the power of being known for excellent work and being referable.

I didn’t need thousands of pregnant women to know who I was.

I needed a few people to know:
“Oh. Twins? You need Marla.”

At the time, I charged premium rates: $1900 for a birth, when most doulas were charging between $500 and $1000.

My rates were considered “unreasonable” yet I stood by them and clients never complained about my services. They kept referring me to their friends.

I think about that story a lot when I think about premium practices today:

The main criteria for high investment clients is that you help someone with a high stakes issue that is impacting their life, business or health and you are the TRUSTED go-to person for guidance.

You MUST be excellent at what you do. 💯

Then you naturally become the person people refer to.

If your work is profoundly transformational and you’re ready to finally charge thousands more for your private work 1-1, you’ll definitely want to come to my upcoming free Unreasonable Rates Masterclass.

As a generous and kind person devoted to doing no harm in the world, it’s really hard when people call me greedy.

Or money hungry.

Or like when my friend asked me directly, “Are you just all about the money now?”

Being pointed at as “one of them” is one of the tender reasons why I’ve avoided teaching widely what I’m now sharing about.

You know what I mean by “one of them,” right?

The people who only care about money, who are extracting from people and planet and don’t seem to give a F* as long as they are turning a profit.

Because it’s not about the money, and it also IS about the money.

There are SO many coaches online who promise how to 10X your income or the laziest way to earn $200k.

It hurts my heart when I think that people reading my offers might lump me into one of those categories.

I remember a conversation I had back in 2018 with two business coaches who were cheering me on, helping me move beyond my fears:

That people might misuse what I teach for only financial benefit, without doing the deeper work & aligning with the philosophy of “do no harm.”

I felt paralyzed.

I wanted to teach what I’d learned and help other amazing practitioners earn thousands more for their work per client.

But something inside me wouldn’t allow it to fully be shared.

I kept what I offered for only people I personally knew and trusted to be doing very high integrity work.

There was too much fear in me to be known as “that person.”

Now, 8 years later, I’m no longer afraid about how people will receive this.

I’m ready to share it widely.

Because the world is calling for a reckoning around money. ✨🌍✨

And when your work is aligned with “do no harm” you make high choices about how you treat your clients, ensuring their results.

If you’re curious about what it really takes to charge thousands more for your very good work in the world, especially if you use your intuition as your guide, you’re invited to register for my free Unreasonable Rates Masterclass.

Yes, there is a replay available when you sign up.

It doesn’t matter what “they” say.

We’re back! 🎙️

It’s been a couple of months since I put out an episode, and I wanted to return with a conversation that actually earned the wait.

Can You Hold What You’re Asking For?

This one is with my friend Marla Mattenson, an ultra-high-end coach + deeply revered human, and holy, HOLY. It’s one of the most powerful conversations I’ve had on this show.

We talk about the distortions in the field (hers, mine, ours): the ones we all carry, the ones longing to be resolved, and the ones very few are willing to name, because naming them requires a rare depth of integrity. Shadow to light. 🖤✨

Marla doesn’t hold back. She tells me about a moment that took her into a full freeze: a collapse into a fetal position, big beautiful tears, and what she learned from reaching out to the clients she’d had the greatest success with and asking them point-blank what hadn’t worked between them.

The more we truly know ourselves, the more we can actually know and serve someone else. That’s what this episode is about.

New episode is live now. Available anywhere you get your pods. ✨

You’ve heard the quote: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” 🙏

The same is true as a teacher, coach, or guide:

We prepare ourselves for our students, our clients, our participants and attendees.

I bet you’ve been doing personal development work for years!

It’s time to uplevel in MONEY.

If you agree that your next growth edge in your services is to:

💰 raise your prices
💰 attract those powerful clients
💰 feel GREAT about it
💰 welcome next-level clients whose lives are transformed by working with you…

… Then let me show you what it really takes to earn thousands more per client, ethically. $$$
