Shopping in the Moroccan souks was SO much fun 🇲🇦🧿

A few things to know before you go:

* Don’t buy the first thing you see! Browse around because you’ll find similar pieces at different prices. There are so many cities that offer different kind of goods and they are each unique! Definitely go with a list of items you are looking for!
* Haggling is part of the experience, so negotiate respectfully.
* When vendors ask, “Where are you from?” it can be a way to build rapport before negotiating. Be friendly, but stay aware!
* The souks aren’t as overwhelming as you might think, but the medina is a maze. Keep your map handy because getting lost is EASY.

Take your time, enjoy the chaos, and have fun with it!

Copper everything, beautiful leather poufs, lamps, and home decor that make you want to redecorate your entire house✨

And yes, many vendors can arrange shipping for larger pieces, so you don’t have to figure out how to squeeze a giant pouf into your suitcase.

My advice? Ask about shipping costs, delivery times, and customs fees before committing!

The bags, the details, the little treasures! 👜✨

The purses I bought were all under 700 MAD (Moroccan dirhams), and of course, I had to bring home something with a story behind it.

I visited the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and picked up a necklace inspired by the designer and his connection to Morocco. A little piece of fashion history to take home with me.

One thing I loved about Morocco? Every city had its own local art, colors, and creativity.

And here’s a fun little discovery: keep an eye out for hidden photo booths around the medina! They’re such a cute way to capture a memory while exploring.

Sometimes the best souvenirs aren’t things you buy, but the little moments you stumble upon.

You already know I wasn’t leaving Morocco without bringing home some tea, cinnamon, and a mug.

Moroccan mint tea is a huge part of the country’s hospitality and social culture, often served with a generous pour from a height to create a little foam.

And since so much Moroccan cooking is associated with the iconic tagine, I had to get myself a mini one, too!

F*** misogyny and the men who continue to use women’s bodies as a reason to degrade us.

Calling women “wh***” because of what they wear is an outdated form of policing women’s bodies and sexuality. THE GYM IS A PLACE FOR WOMEN TO FEEL STRONG, NOT A PLACE WHERE WE SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE OURSELVES SMALLER TO KEEP MEN COMFORTABLE.

Comedy can challenge society, but when women are the punchline for simply existing in their bodies, maybe it’s time to question what we’re laughing at.

It’s 2026. We’re tired of defending our right to exist comfortably in public while men debate what we should or shouldn’t wear. #fyp by @marlad_
