GOOD SPORT #004 | A year on from my panic attack live on air.

This week’s newsletter is a bit a of diary entry. Reflecting on where I was at when my anxiety got the better of me at work, during a live cross! How amazing my colleagues were and what I had to get right to be back to my best and simply thriving in the busy-ness of work right now!

The @nrl Bondi Beach Footy Fest was the perfect warm up before tomorrow’s huge Grand Final! 🏆

All my pep talk from coach @keelyysilva went out the window when she got the last minute call up to play in the TFA Legends side against me 🙄 I’ll stick to the mic from here I think 🤷🏽‍♀️

And big thanks to sissy @rhiannon.byers_ for being my videographer and not laughing too hard at my dropped ball 🙃 by @marlee.silva

Community, connection and inspiration for the next generation ✨

Magic Round started for me last night as we brought together 50 local junior rugby league girls, their families, some other fans and some NRLW Superstars at @bunkrgym in the heart of Wagga Wagga.

Regional footy is the heart of our game and our girls at every level are the brightest lights guiding our future path.

So many people and brands helped me pull this idea together in just over two weeks! I will be thanking them all individually with most posts in the coming days but for now - @tianapenitani , @quincy_dodd , @graciekemp_ , @maimataufa and @sophieholyman thank you SO much for giving up your time!

@greggydillon thank you for giving us the space and the people to bring together!!

And I couldn’t be more grateful for the generosity of:
@noso_skin
@newbalance
@eltee.sydney
@goannaacademy
@leagueahead and Sheridan for helping me keep my head on as we kicked off!!
@pita_visuals for shooting everything so immaculately!!
@grilldburgers for the dinner!
And ofcourse @nrlw / @nrl for the tix for our attendees!!

Love the girls, love regional communities and I guess more @marleeandmepod events to come!! by @marlee.silva

Every time we have a little kid on Sunday footy who is a bit nervous about being on tv I tell them to do a ‘silly dance’ and all their troubles will disappear.. I know this from experience 💃🏽 by @marlee.silva

I have a confession... I’ve been ghosting my glasses. But with the nature of my work and my active lifestyle, I need to know what I am looking at, at all times.

If you’re curious ask your optometrist if ACUVU️E® contact lenses may be right for you. @acuvueau
