Overwhelmed with emotion visiting @philadelphiaballet and their new building. The studios are stunning and finally give the company the space they need to do the work and make the art. May this be the beginning of a new level of investment in the arts, organizations and artists that live and create in the great city of Philadelphia. And thank you @sterlingbaca for letting us sit in on your rehearsal for the upcoming performances of @twylatharp’s In The Upper Room. Your dancing and your words on the importance of the Arts in America today moved us deeply. by @marlowephl

Two years ago I got to marry this amazing human, in my favorite place in the world, surrounded by my favorite people. This November it will be ten years on our adventure together. I still light up everytime he walks in the room. I am so grateful for the endless love and patience he has for me. He continues to find ways to surprise and make me feel the ectascy I’m feeling in this photo. May we continue to grow and flourish together. by @marlowephl

I don’t have langauge to describe the sublime genius of Robert Wilson, because, well, it’s sublime. I am still trembling as I reflect on Moby Dick. He profoundly influenced how I think about performance, space, time, light, body, object, architecture, rhythm, duration, repetition, and the intentional creation of moments of the sublime through performance art. I have spent my entire artistic life admiring his work. I remain in awe. And I am filled with a strange sadness that I only met him once, and that he is gone.
