Around this time last year, we cleared out the garage and decided to turn an idea into something real.

The Bleach Project began when a hairdresser and a tattoo artist, mum and daughter, joined forces through our shared obsession with fashion, print, art and dressing to feel good.

We felt there was something missing: clothing that could be bold, expressive and completely individual. Pieces that no one else in the world would ever own or wear in exactly the same way.

So we started without really knowing where it would take us.

Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how much we’ve learned and achieved in less than a year. Last December, we launched our very first collection and sold out. Now, we’re preparing for our next big launch with an upgraded website, an incredible new collection and a vision that has grown beyond anything we imagined when we first cleared out that garage.

It hasn’t been easy. Building something from nothing takes serious hard work, sacrifice, belief and plenty of blood, sweat and tears. You have to really want it.

But if you have an idea you can’t stop thinking about, our advice is simple: stop waiting for everyone else to understand it. Start. Do the work. Then show them what you created.

This is just the beginning.

We can’t wait for you to see how far we’ve come.

I love it over here.

Although I must say, my productivity is under constant threat because every time I try to get anything done… this is what happens 😂

I was actually supposed to be making a pair of custom shoes in this video. They probably took me an hour or two longer than they needed to.

Not mad about it though. Time well wasted 🤝

I hung this painting with shrink wrap

Not because it was the best solution

Because I kept forgetting to buy wire

Some people will look at that and think it’s ridiculous. Some people will think it’s genius

That’s kind of how creativity works…

I don’t have anything against Pinterest. I use it every day. It’s an incredible tool for collecting references and helping artists understand what a client is drawn to

The problem is when inspiration becomes imitation
Somewhere along the way, being unique became risky and being familiar became safe

I think that’s why so many tattoos are starting to look the same.

The best tattoos don’t come from finding the perfect reference

They come from taking an idea, a feeling, a memory, a hundred different influences and turning them into something that couldn’t belong to anyone else.

Pinterest should be the starting point.

Not the destination.

One thing about me… I’ll always say yes to a creative side quest.

This one was for Wimbledon season: hand-drawing a tennis inspired window display for @headcasebarberswimbledon / check out their page!
The blue lines you can see on the outside are just temporary mark out, so I can map everything out before painting the final design cleanly on the inside.

Whether it’s skin, windows, walls, shoes, clothing or something completely unexpected, I love finding new canvases to work on. Creativity doesn’t really care where it ends up.

If you’ve got a fun project, a weird idea, or something that makes you wonder if it’s possible my inbox is always open. No dreams too big bb Xx
