A few updates around the building 👀

Thanks to a security grant secured by our Operations Pastor, Dan, you’ll notice a few changes around our entrances, including new security bollards.

We’re also working on adding electronic locks to nearly all our doors, giving staff access through an app.

Making sure everyone who walks through our doors feel safe and welcome is a priority, and we’re grateful this grant is helping us take these steps forward! by @marshillorg

Dan has hit double digits! 🎉

Today marks Dan’s 10-year anniversary on staff at Mars Hill, and we’re celebrating the massive impact he’s made on our community.

From shepherding volunteers and keeping our parking lot in check to running tech on Sundays and leading our facilities team, Dan wears a lot of hats. He helps keep our people and building safe, brings endless laughter, and has a gentle spirit that often comes with a classic “so good.”

Dan is one of those people everyone knows. And we mean everyone. Consider him the unofficial mayor of Grandville.
Dan, we’re so grateful for you and the many ways you care for this community.

A Casserole Pan Full Of Tangible Love

For years, we have cheered on AYA Youth Collective as they’ve provided resources, built relationships, and listened to the voices of youth experiencing homelessness in Grand Rapids.

Last year, we hosted Freezer Meal Parties and provided meals for the youth they serve. It was such a success that they asked for our help again. Grab your apron, and join us as we prepare casseroles full of love.

Ingredients, supplies, and instructions provided. No fee to attend, but contributions toward meal costs are welcome.

🍩 A Little Fall Treat This Sunday 🍩

There’s nothing quite like crisp fall air paired with the smell of cider and donuts. Slip on your favorite autumn sweater and stay after the Gathering to enjoy cider and donuts from Post Family Farm.

*Gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available.

Yesterday was a gift.

Our staff was invited by our partners at Tangible Hope Ministry to join their Living Forward program, which creates a safe, loving and empowering space for individuals returning home from incarceration.

We feel incredibly grateful to have heard stories of hope, resilience, courage and perseverance, all in one room.

Tangible Hope isn’t just doing good work. They’re creating a space that is necessary, meaningful and, for many, life-changing.

We’re honored and humbled to walk alongside them and support the work they’re doing in our community. by @marshillorg

We are teaming up with Herb + Fire Pizzeria to Raise Some Dough for the White Bucket Project, our designated fund that provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families connected to our church community.
