The website is the number one resource for all info about (m)ARTkit. From donation info, parking, store hours, and more, it’s all there and updated regularly.

As a small team your compliance with our donation rules helps us out immensely. While we don’t want things going to the landfill, we do have capacity and limitations. Thanks everyone for their support always.

How does your pricing work?

Items in the store that have specific pricing include: quilting cotton, natural fibre yarn, synthetic yarn, paint, and beads.

Anything that is priced will have a colour coded sticker, elastic, or piece of yarn. Red is one dollar, orange is two, etc. There are charts in store for you to reference.

Unpriced items like florals, paper crafting, wood bits, sewing notions, and more (see chart in store) are part of a full-a-bag program. This is basically volume based, and works on the ‘ish’ system (aka flexible) in your favour.

For knitters of all levels including beginners. Come make a knitted heart garland. Perfect for using up small bits of yarn (in this case ours!).

Lauren ( @hugsfromhugobear ) will walk you through every step. Don’t finish in the workshop, no problem! Take home needles and yarn to finish (or make more!)

Let’s make our clothes last longer!

Join with others for Visible Mending and/or Button Swap Over (or come replace your missing buttons).

In visible mending you’ll learn technique to intentionally work with the holes in your clothes. Patches, stitching, and more.

Paper Workshops!!!

With a whole corner dedicated to paper crafting, it only made sense to host paper workshops where you can flex your creative muscles. From card making basics to collage, you will have a chance to test out new tools, think about layouts, and design around in inspiration as much as composition. You could even make your own journal!

If you’re already on your way with your paper, crafting journey, sign up for the junk journal drop in. You’ll get access to all the supplies and tools in the store, along with a mini lesson from Annamarie
