woiii oii another day of doing up live host at another iconique venue!

shoutout to @roundhouse.works who put on stellar events for emerging creatives. so good to get into the minds of @_nickcooke_, @belsachs, Mae Yipp from @theericapp and @magic_lou. I’m forever taking notes on the job because they were sharing gems ✍🏽✍🏽✍🏽 Flora and Shola, you always make it a great experience! Congrats on another great event

And then into the rounds for @ezracollective! hearing the new album live for the first time and enjoying being in a room with everyone who wants to DANCE. Have been blessed to see them a few times now, and it’s so much fun every time

i know it’s not just luck (if you’ve been here for a while, you know that I work HARD!!) but I will always take a moment to appreciate how sick it is to bop around london doing what I love with the help of other talented people doing what they love

@mary.mandefield and @jasminerowland_ bring you all you need to know to level up as a radio presenter. In this 90min online workshop, you’ll learn how to figure out your distinct sound, how to navigate the industry, and where to find paid presenting work. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and connect with other attendees- your industry peers!

Introducing your hosts:

Mary is the current early breakfast presenter on @hitsradiouk! She started on Riverside Radio and Westside, before hosting huge shows across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and BBC Radio London. She’s now been on Hits Radio for 3 years

Jasmine is an experienced producer and presenter. You may have heard her taking over BBC Radio 1’s Soundsystem Party over Xmas. She now works across some of the UK’s biggest stations: KISS, Radio 1 / 2 / 6 Music, Hits and more. She’s also a live host, sound engineer, DJ and music producer!

huns, I’ve said it for time, (north) WEST IS BEST! had the most vibrant, joy filled day at Wembley hosting the fanzone for @diljitdosanjh’s record breaking show at @wembleystadium - the team said it was one of the best crowds they’d had 🤌🏽

then over the road to live out my millennial DREAMS vibing to @misteeq at @ovoarena! Theee best bday present from @key_dw. We need more shows IMMEDIATELY. Please do a sugababes and come back to us 😩 at least a lil Glastonbury show next summer…

Life! Work! Bits!

Whewwww what a show! Had the pleasure of watching the first 2 episodes of Possession on @skytv & @nowtv and can safely say it’s like nothing we’ve seen before. A supernatural thriller set in Jamaica - beautifully scary (or maybe I’m a wimp?) and thought provoking. Hats off to @crome_karla @stormsaulter @gugumbatharaw @jonnylmiller & the whole team

I’m a super proud to be part of the judging panel for this year’s Youth Music Awards in association with @wingstopuk. I’ve heard music from young musicians supported by @youthmusicuk projects and the NextGen Fund. There’s so much talent coming through, and it’s clear how important access and support are for developing artists.
