Final days to experience Glitche at reSOUND NYC!

On view through October 18 at the Rockefeller Center location, Glitche explores the intersection of projection sound, and sculpture through a poetic digital distortion. Through an immersive soft sculpture, one can enter the work to be enveloped by the visual and sonic installation environment.

If youโ€™re in New York City, thereโ€™s still time to experience the work in person ใ€ฐ๏ธ

Boston โ†’ Santa Fe โ†’ CODAsummit 2026 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Weโ€™re glad to share that MASARY cofounder Ryan Edwards will be speaking at CODAsummit: Art, Technology + Place, September 29 through October 1 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

CODAsummit has become an important gathering point for the many people shaping public art and the spaces around it: artists, commissioners, architects, urban planners, fabricators, BIDs, technologists, producers, and collaborators of all kinds.

These intersections feel closely connected to how we work as a studio. Our practice is inherently collaborative, moving between art, technology, architecture, sound, light, performance, and public space. Weโ€™re looking forward to contributing to that larger conversation, learning from the work happening across the field, and spending time with familiar faces and new ones.

See you in Santa Fe ใ€ฐ๏ธ

Up for 2 years in Watertown, MA โ€” Transitional is a low relief edge public art sculpture that holds motion and force in a moment of suspension.

Spanning sixteen by nine feet, the work is composed of repeating fins made from temporary roadway lane markers, connecting its material language to Watertownโ€™s temporary landscape of transit, construction, and change. Small reflectors positioned at the top of each fin respond to movement, perspective, and surrounding city light. As viewers pass, the sculpture shifts between compression and expansion, revealing narrow corridors, shadows, and flashes of illumination. At night, reflected light travels across its surface, creating subtle dances of motion within its minimal architectural form.

THE WORLD DANCES HERE.

For one summer night, Cambridge City Hall became a living canvas, animated through live projected visuals VJโ€™d for the 2026 Cambridge Dance Party.

We love Central Square (Cambridge) for its creative energy, its constant movement, and the full spectrum of people who make it what it is. Generations, cultures, neighbors, artists, and strangers filled Mass Ave to come together and dance.

These are the moments we value most. When architecture becomes a stage. When a street shuts down for joy. When individual experiences converge into something collective.

A beautiful night to be a part of ๐Ÿชฉ BIG LOVE, YOUR LIGHT IS CENTRAL.

Featuring @dnice on the tables ๐ŸŽถ
Presented by @cambridgemass and @centralsqbid
Shout to @bostonaudiorentals for the production support.

In 2015, NEFA launched the Creative City pilot program in partnership with the Barr Foundation ( @barrfdn ) with the intention of offering direct support for artists of all artistic disciplines to reimagine places for art in Boston, engage public imagination, and inspire community members to share in civic experiences. Investing in artists and the creative process has been a core value at NEFA that is fueled by a belief that artists are, and have the ability to be, civic leaders within their communities.

Today, as part of the People's History of NEFA and in celebration of our milestone 50th anniversary, we revisit the impacts of this program with grant recipient and civic leader Ryan Edwards, co-founder and principal at MASARY Studios ( @masary_studios ), where artists "transform sound, light, and technology into unforgettable, site-specific experiences."

๐—”๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—บ โœถโšฌโ€จA living cosmic meditation in projection, light, and sound.

Created for SOLSTICE 2025, Arcus Stellarum unfolded across the landscape of Mount Auburn Cemetery as a slow reflection on our shared cosmic origins. Across seven movements, the artwork traced the life cycle of a star, beginning within a drifting cloud of stardust and moving through ignition, maturity, old age, supernova, and black hole before beginning anew.

Light, sound, and projected imagery transformed the landscape into an atmospheric universe in continual motion. Guests were invited to wander, pause, and consider the vast cycles of life and transformation that extend far beyond us while also existing within us.

A reminder that beginnings and endings are held within the same unfolding cycle, and that we, too, are made from the material of stars.

Another Cambridge Dance Party in the booksโ€ฆ and what a night. โค๏ธ

To everyone who danced, laughed, sang, and celebrated with us, thank you for proving once again that the world doesnโ€™t just live hereโ€ฆ it dances here.

A huge thank you to @dnice & @geespin for giving us a soundtrack weโ€™ll be talking about all summer.

To the @cambridgepolice , @cambridgemass City Managerโ€™s Office, @cambridgemafiredepartment , and our EMTs, thank you for helping keep everyone safe while the city celebrated.

A special shoutout to our guy Matt Nelson, who is always behind the scenes making sure every detail comes together. Your dedication never goes unnoticed, and itโ€™s always a pleasure working alongside you.

Thank you to @masary_studios for transforming City Hall with another incredible light installation, and to @theluxbooth_ for helping everyone capture memories theyโ€™ll keep long after the music stopped.

Most importantlyโ€ฆ thank you to the people. Every smile, every dance circle, every hug between strangers reminded us why Central Square is unlike anywhere else.

Hereโ€™s to another unforgettable night in the greatest city to ever do it.

Until next time. โœจ

Weโ€™re throwing it back this Thursday and reminiscing on some incredible collaborations.

Last year, as part of our โ€œ20 Questions for 20 Yearsโ€ celebration, we partnered with Grisha Coleman to curate the Rehearsing and Performing the Everydayย theme over the course of a weekend.

Through her artistic and political vision, Grisha invited us to consider why critiquing and reimagining the everyday โ€” and rehearsing new futures together โ€” is so necessary.

Check out and revisit her choreographed performance, Rehearsal for Everyday Life - a piece that highlights the diverse movement approaches and techniques of dancers from across the Boston region.

This reel is just a glimpse. CLICK THE LINK IN OUR BIOย to hear Grisha share, in her own words, the thinking and inspiration behind the work.

You can also watch the full performance on our Youtube channel via this link: https://tinyurl.com/ds4sirehearsingeveryday
