Golden hour dock start. Best light for the colors, worst light for spotting coral.

Pumping straight into the sunset in a shallow lagoon… stunning views, absolutely no idea what’s underneath me.

This is what foil assist is all about for me.

Getting out to spots far offshore where I’d usually need a jet ski to tow me into waves. I don’t always have someone available to drive it, so being able to get out there under my own power opens up a whole new world.

Today wasn’t about huge waves. Just long, rolling swells that are tough to catch paddling, but so much fun once you’re up and flying.

I caught more waves than I could count, had an absolute blast, and came back to shore feeling like the happiest guy on earth.

That’s my vision of foil assist by @mantafoils and also with my magic VELOCE FF by @gongfoil

For me, this is a really good setup for downwinding with a lowkite: the POINT LW HOLLOW 6’3, which gets you up and flying super quickly, even in tricky conditions at the start, paired with a VELOCE FF and a NEUTRA LIGHT by @gong.lowkite

Making the most of the bad weather to dial in my big-swell setup.

The goal: use foil assist instead of a jet ski to get into big swell.

Today I rode the Veloce FF—the S just under 750 cm²—with a single battery, keeping the setup lighter.

At 90 kg, on a 5’0” LANCE by @gongfoil 40L board, that’s pretty insane.

This @mantafoils system opens up some serious possibilities.

If there’s one thing the HOLLOW truly transforms, it’s the lowkite experience. What a game changer!

Getting up and going takes so much less effort. Everything feels easier, more intuitive, and more fun. Even pumping offshore feels noticeably smoother and more enjoyable.

With less weight out front, I can move my foil farther back and get more maneuverability while keeping all the lift I want. I can even go down a foil size!

It all adds up to a huge leap forward: easier starts, more freedom, and such a good feeling on the water.

I’m so stoked this Hyperlite Sunguard Jacket by @gong.galaxy is finally coming out! I was one of the first people to test it, and honestly, it’s so well made.

I’ve never been a fan of rash guards. Once they’re wet, they feel cold, and I’ve just never found the fabric comfortable. This jacket feels completely different. You can fall in, get back on your board, ride for about 100 metres, and it’s already dry. The special fabric dries incredibly fast, and it blocks the wind too.

The fit is great, and it comes in several colours. You can wear it out on the water or just around town—it looks good everywhere. It’s stylish, technical, and really well thought out.

I’ve been looking forward to this launch for a long time. It’s a seriously good piece of gear, even here in Tahiti. There’s also a really bright colour— NEON YELLOW—that makes you easier to spot when you’re out offshore.

Honestly, I love it.
