I am delighted to announce that my forthcoming record I CAN DREAM, CAN'T I? will be out on November 4th. It features my good friends and excellent musicians @tomasmartinezjazz, @baptistelejeunemusic and #LeightonHarrell.

I'd like to thank Tomás, Leighton and Bap for all the fun we had, @samgemme for running the easiest session ever, Zan Stewart for writing fantastic liner notes (only available with the CD), @alexismonettttt for the photography and the beautiful design and my mentor @chrisbyarsjazz for the continuous support and for kicking my ass.

L'Entracte, on veut que ça soit bien plus grand qu'une salle de spectacles. On aimerait que ça devienne un hub, un endroit ou le transfer des connaissances sur la musique qui nous passionne est possible sans obligations, sans pression. Venez apprendre avec nous! En voici un peu sur Mr. Byars:

Chris Byars est un saxophoniste et compositeur New-Yorkais. Il s'est produit en concert dans 58 pays et a enregistré 17 albums en tant que leader. Chris est un compositeur lauréat dont le portfolio compte des œuvres de grande envergure mettant en musique des récits de vie, la géographie urbaine et l'art visuel.

Il a été invité huit fois comme arrangeur et chef d'orchestre pour les orchestres de radio allemande. Chris a joué avec Barry Harris, John Pizzarelli, Teddy Charles et Freddie Redd, et il est le directeur adjoint de la Tribeca Jazz Institute.

Here's a bit about Mr. Byars:
Chris Byars is a New York saxophonist and composer. He has performed in 58 countries and recorded 17 albums as a leader. Chris is an award-winning composer whose portfolio includes large-scale works setting life stories, urban geography, and visual art to music.
He has been invited eight times as an arranger and conductor for German radio orchestras. Chris has played with Barry Harris, John Pizzarelli, Teddy Charles, and Freddie Redd, and he is the assistant director of the Tribeca Jazz Institute.
