Rob & Danny’s wedding reception at the Cabaret Lion d’Or was a perfect reflection of their personalities: festive, generous, and surprising. The Art Deco venue is one of the few remaining 1930s cabarets in Montreal. The couple had asked their guests to dress in the style of that era. Danny and Rob had a few surprises in store for them: a jazzy band for the cocktail hour, a burlesque artist in the evening, a nine-piece band that was absolutely fantastic by the way and a dj from Toronto! We had so much fun, and the evening flew by so fast, that my assistant/boyfriend and I stayed an extra hour and a half because we were having just too much fun! We left past midnight but the evening ended at 3am! The newlyweds were so thrilled with their perfect day, organized entirely from the US, that they even wrote to all the vendors a few days later to thank them! Among other things, they wrote « Catherine and Miguel, we feel like we’ve gained friends for life ». And that feeling is mutual my dear friends. Cheers to you!
